"Double D"
This is worth the read if just for his interactions with his 1 year old daughter. It has plenty of WTH & WTF moments. I loved Astor's roll in this story. Fot me it didn't quite have the bite of previous Dexters. I think that often happens with books that are pivotal for character/circumstance transition. The story is good & Lindsay's narration is good. (except for his chapter annoncements..what's up with that?).
"Kinda Cute"
This an OK read. Kinda cute, kinda cozy. I'm sure I would not have finished this in print. It's really a 2.5 star but I'm sweet & always round up. I'll try something else of hers someday. Maybe even another Devereaux Dime Store Mystery!
"Excellent Series Ender"
I can hardly believe there are so many negative comments about this book on some of my other sites. For me it is a solid 5 on several levels. I totaly enjoyed this book. It is one of the better series enders I've read.
It was time for this series to end. Yes CH could have drug it out a few more books, but what for?
CH left no strings hanging. Each story line is tied up neatly. But not so tight that she can't go back to it, or a character for other works.
I can't say more, I don't want to spoil it for y'all ♥
"Throughly Enjoyable"
Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy meets Monty Python in a throughly enjoyable LOL story. Martin Jarvis' narration is as perfect for this book as Jim Dale was for Harry Potter. Definately not for the seriously religious, & an appreciation for the type of humor of the afore mentioned Monty Python is essential. Prepare to be entertained!
"Wasted Time"
I can't remeber what led me to believe this would be a fun short read. Oh yeh, it was the name. The story could be pretty good & should be. Something is amiss in the compilation, plus the reader is inconsistant. Add to that the glitch, hiccup, booboo, whatever that caused the first few lines of the book to repeat after the book ended & you have a dissapointed old chick. Thank goodness I didn't pay more than $5 for this.
"A Game Changer"
Excellent. I love this series..the heroes are very BDB types (Ward's other hot series)..and of course good vs evil is the game. But in Fallen Angels the battle is Heaven vs Hell for final world dominance. Good & Evil are not black & white in this struggle, which makes for some great action, love, lust & loathing. In RAPTURE (4th book) Heaven's chosen warrior Jim Heron makes a surprise decision and his right hand angel Adrian makes a huge sacrifice that make this book a game changer in this series. Can't wait for the next.
"A Good Story but.."
..this reader made me cringe. I finished the audio because it was a good story & I didn't see it in print. There were times it was almost painful to listen. I'll read the author again for sure but the narrator won't get a 2nd chance.
"Sooo Good!"
One of my small pleasures is The Dresden Files. One of my bigger pleasures is having them read to me by James Marsters. White Night was particularly pleasurable..old questions were answered..the way is cleared for even more Wizardly intrigue & action. I was left with big anticipation of the next story.
"loved it"
James Marsters was fabulous as always. The story is great, I couldn't put it down. I loved the turn this series has taken in this book & hope it continues in the following books.
"less than expected"
Not as hot as the cover or any of the LOTU books. The story was good as were the the plot twists, but it just didn't have the flow I am used to in her books. The best part of this book was the relationship developments of Z & the warrior angels in his command. I will definately read the next book as Gena did leave me curious & wanting to know thier stories. In short even when she is a little off her game, GS rules.
"ya gotta love vlad"
Vlad has his own series now & the 1st book is really good..very promising spinoff series of Night Huntress..good insight into Vlad's life pre-turning..nice set up for the future of his current love affair with an interesting paranormal human woman..soo it's pretty much an all round good Urban Fantasy/Paranormal Romance read.
