  • Molecular Gastronomy: Exploring the Science of Flavor

This book will appeal to foodies and those who are deprived of cookbooks in audio format. Molecular Gastronomy documents the sensory phenomena of eating and uses basic physics to put to bed many culinary myths. This audiobook presents pieces of conventional wisdom - such as whether it is better to make a stock by placing meat in already boiling water, or water before it is boiled - and gives its history before making scientific pronouncements.

I tried really hard to like this book, but it just wasn't very interesting. Topics that started out interesting, all eventually bogged down in excruciating technical detail. Unless your are a professional chemist, skip it.

Brian Tracy has spent more than 20,000 hours researching and reading on the subject of personal and business success. This is the most comprehensive and advanced seminar on personal success and achievement ever developed. This 16-segment audio program reveals how to set goals, make more money, simplify your life, and supercharge your career.

I wish I could return this recording. I gave it an hour and finally had to stop because I could no longer stomach Tracy's right wing, anti-government, conservative rants. Listening to him was as bad as having to endure the worst that Fox News has to offer. At least for the hour that I listened, Tracy postulates that since becoming successful relies entirely on a persons attitude and hard work (which I agree) society has no responsibility or duty to those weaker amongst us. He couldn't be more wrong. Some of Americas most successful and wealthy by any standard are also the most generous Americans. Bill Gates, Ted Turner, Oprah to name a few. Brian Tracy has a cold heart and does not walk the walk of a realized human being. Shame on him and all like him.
