This one has been very suspenseful.
When I thought the story was going a certain way, it twisted and turned and the ending caught me by surprise.
I have not listened to Jan Maxwell before. She is very captivating.
The thoughts of the injured party while she lay in a coma.
As I traveled across country by car and was listening to this book oblivious to the incredible storm warnings around me. I was so captivated and in retrospect, I am glad I wasn't worried, just annoyed by the rain.
the performance and voice quality is not good
The voice inflection is ineffective
spoiled rich main character
The drama in this presentation and characters are not getting better after chapter 10. Not happy with this book.
Building up the characters, and the gaps in the story made this story maddening to figure out. The children's characters and opinions in the story would have made this story more believable. The author seemed to skip an opportunity to blend all the characters and make it believable. The narration seemed whiney and monotone which made it difficult to follow.+
The performance and character set up has been superb.
The main character develops from a scared, timid 16 year old to a confident, assertive woman.
The description of the mother and the daughter's perception.
The consistency carried through of the main character keeps the story fascinating!
