Six months ago, the world ended. The Baugh Contagion swept across the planet. Its victims were left twitching, adrenalized cannibals that quickly became know as Junkies. Civilization crumbled as people created isolated safe havens to hide from the infected... and the possibly infected. Now, as society nears a tipping point, lives will intersect and intertwine across two days in a desolate city.

Where does The Junkie Quatrain rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

toward the top. I love that Clines has women voice for femal characters.

What other book might you compare The Junkie Quatrain to and why?

    None -

What about Christian Rummel and Therese Plummer ’s performance did you like?

just great performances on their parts.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

laugh at the most akward times.

    Any additional comments?

All the books by Peter Clines and the performances have been just great listens. I haven't even read one of his books - I have listened to "14" and the first two EX books - waiting on the third. and of course now Quatrain - The only complaint I have about Quatrain is - wish it was longer.

Captain John "Black Jack" Geary's legendary exploits are known to every schoolchild. Revered for his heroic "last stand" in the early days of the war, he was presumed dead. But a century later, Geary miraculously returns from survival hibernation and reluctantly takes command of the Alliance fleet as it faces annihilation by the Syndics.

Appalled by the hero-worship around him, Geary is nevertheless a man who will do his duty. And he knows that bringing the stolen Syndic hypernet key safely home is the Alliance's one chance to win the war. But to do that, Geary will have to live up to the impossibly heroic "Black Jack" legend.

What made the experience of listening to The Lost Fleet: Dauntless the most enjoyable?

    Good book, good narration

What did you like best about this story?

Simple to listen to as there aren't too many characters to keep track of in an audible story.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

This book is kinda frustrating to listen to. If you have any knowledge of warfare then the people of the alliance are just plain stupid. The Single mindedness of the human race is just unbelievable.

In 1948, an alien starship crash-landed in the New Mexico desert and brought with it the key to mankind’s future. Code-named the Rho Project, the landing was shrouded in secrecy, and only the highest-ranking US government and military personnel knew it existed. Until now....

If you could sum up The Second Ship in three words, what would they be?

    Super awesome fun

What did you like best about this story?

The whole story line - the way Jack doesn't get taken advantage of for being stupid.

What about MacLeod Andrews’s performance did you like?

He is kinda nasal at times - I don't like his voices for women one bit but overall doesn't make me not want to listen to the next one.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

No - but who want to sit down for 11 hours and listen to a book?

    Any additional comments?

AWESOME book and great reading by MacLeod.

Acclaimed author Michael J. Sullivan created instant best sellers with his spellbinding Riyria Revelations series. This first volume introduces Royce Melborn and Hadrian Blackwater, two enterprising thieves who end up running for their lives when they’re framed for the death of the king. Trapped in a conspiracy bigger than they can imagine, their only hope is unraveling an ancient mystery - before it’s too late.

Tim Gerard Reynolds was great reading this book!

What was one of the most memorable moments of Theft of Swords?

In a small village a young girl's father must come to face that he is not what he thinks he is.

What about Tim Gerard Reynolds’s performance did you like?

Great reading - excellent delineation between characters.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

Being a hired hand isn't always worth it! But then again maybe it is.

    Any additional comments?

Fun book. Interesting characters and a fun story. Not typical but the good guys do win.

In 2007, the Center for Automation in Nanobiotech (CAN) outlined the hardware and software platform that would one day allow robots smaller than human cells to make medical diagnoses, conduct repairs, and even self-propagate. In the same year, a simple pill, it had been discovered, could wipe out the memory of any traumatic event. At almost the same moment in humanity's broad history, mankind had discovered the means for bringing about its utter downfall - and the ability to forget it ever happened.

Would you try another book from Hugh Howey and/or Tim Gerard Reynolds?

Not right now. The story is SO SLOW. I am 6 hours into listening to the book and there isn't any real intrigue just a whold bunch of people without a clue.

Would you ever listen to anything by Hugh Howey again?

I guess but not high on my list right now. Think I will actually try and read one of his books next.

What three words best describe Tim Gerard Reynolds’s voice?

    Not too interesting.

What character would you cut from Shift Omnibus Edition?

Have not finished the book. Probably won't - it is SO SLOW - nothing happens.

    Any additional comments?

Ok I get it - people's minds have been messed with. We have no real clue what the problem is and it doesn't seem like Hugh Howey is inclined to let his readers know. 6 hours into the listen and it is basically this - People are in Silos recovering or awaiting the Earth's recovery from a USA planned attack on humanity. There are Silos that are failing but with the whole world gone and no interesting characters what's the big deal? I get that the drugs have deadened people's interest in life but he killed my interest in the story by dragging it out so much. BORING, BORING, BORING can't believe I got 6 hours in....

Stealth. Gorgon. Regenerator. Cerberus. Zzzap. The Mighty Dragon. They were heroes. Vigilantes. Crusaders for justice, using their superhuman abilites to make Los Angeles a better place. Then the plague of living death spread around the globe. Despite the best efforts of the superheroes, the police, and the military, the hungry corpses rose up and overwhelmed the country. The population was decimated, heroes fell, and the city of angels was left a desolate zombie wasteland like so many others.

There are some odd things about Nate’s new apartment. Of course, he has other things on his mind. He hates his job. He has no money in the bank. No girlfriend. No plans for the future. So while his new home isn’t perfect, it’s livable. The rent is low, the property managers are friendly, and the odd little mysteries don’t nag at him too much. At least, not until he meets Mandy, his neighbor across the hall, and notices something unusual about her apartment. And Xela’s apartment. And Tim’s. And Veek’s.
