"I will give the second book a chance"
Althougth I had some tough time getting used to the British accent of the female narrarator, I liked(once again) Rick Riordan's idea of combining ancient Egypt, fantasy, and the modern world altogether. However, I think that this story was too familiar to Percy Jackson. And it would have been better if the characters were more, what should I say? ummm... strong and special in some way.
"Less violent and thrilling"
If you want to listen to an audio book that is less violent, thrilling, and scary than Dan Brown's other books, this audio book is the one I would recommend to you. I am not saying that Dan Brown has lost all his writing magic, but I am saying that Dan Brown has changed his style of writing. Although you could expect the whold story just by listening the first part, the story was very good.
"Percy Jackson gets kidnapped! Highly recommended"
I love Rick Riordan's books! They combine fantasy, history, ancient mytholigy, and the modern world altogether! Although I got dissapointed at the fact that dear old Percy has not appeared on this book, Jason's replacement was good enough! Fine, I had some trouble getting used to the new voices and the new narrator. But they were still GREAT. I can't wait until the second book comes out.
"You will become tired of this"
I have read/listened the whole Warrior Cats series and found it interesting. However, in this book, things have changed a bit. The story is always the same and the characters in this book are too proud to admit defeat. And that's BORING. I mean, come on. Who would want to listen to an audio book about wild cats fussing over tiny problems ALL the time. This story can really interest you at first, but you would get tired of it in a few hours.
"Not Bad but Not Good"
I have expected this book to be exciting and fun just as much as the Percy Jackson series and the Kane Chronicles. However, it seems that I was wrong. I am not saying that this book is that bad, but it's just that it's not a book that can be compared to Rick Riordan's other books. This is not thrilling and also not exciting . However, I really liked the idea of the characters, finding out the clues by following Benjamin Franklin.
If you really want to listen to an audio book that you would not regret, I recommend you the Kane Chronicles and the Warrior Cats.
"Pretty good"
I started to get interested in the Percy Jackson series after I first saw the movie. The movie was pretty good so I wondered what it would be like to listen to it in audiobooks. After listening to it, I realized that the Percy Jackson series is so fun, that I am now a big fan of Rick Riordan! I have listened and read the whole Percy Jackson series and now is planning to listen to the 39 Clues series and the Kane Chronicles.
