I understand that serial kills are sick predators, and a bit of detail would have been good, but the story of Tony is what this book should have been for me and how getting involved with these folks made him who he is. But this book was more about details of murders and what these folks did. I will probably finish the book, but I am fast forwarding through much of the murderers confessions TMI in my opinion.
I got the first 2 books and then listened to the Crown Tower and Rose and Thorn and I want more. I found myself agreeing with Hadrian like he was a friend, these books are exceptional in my opinion and lets hope the author doesn't end this series.
I think the books are good, but the narrator makes it come to life. I find myself agreeing with a fictional character. I don't think anyone can go wrong with these books.
Took me a while in the first book to get used to accents, but we love this book. The only thing is I wish I had found them after 6 or 7 had been written so we wouldn't have to wait for a next one. Hope there will be 6 or 7 of these.
We listen to these books during morning and afternoon commute. They are cute funny and we love the references at the start of each chapter.
Started very slowly and my husband and I wondered if we wanted to continue it during our daily commute. Well stick with it for an hour or so and it will definitely pickup and then we found ourselves sitting the driveway waiting for a good place to stop until the next morning. New concept, loved it.
This book sort of caught my interest because of the accents and colloquialisms but that is about it.
It starts with little or no explanation how the girl got there accept a few vague crazy mother observations by only the girl and ends with a crazy mother and the mother does what????
Seems like reading a paragraph out of a long book without the context and expecting folks to enjoy it.
This book has magic in a completely new an unexpected way and the characters are very realistic and you find yourself routing for them as the book progresses, so much so we have sat in th car with the radio on just to see how things work out for them.
Took me a while to get used to the narrator, but once I did the book was great.
I think Larry Correia is my new favorite author. His books are nothing like te books I normally read, but I have them all and I know when they are read and I have to wait for the next one will be hard.
Love all of these books wish there were more and wish they were longer. I would definitely reccommend these to anyone
I like urban fantasy and this one is great. Love the narrator and his Oberon voice. Enough subtle humor to make it a pleasure to listen to.
