Dry, nothing like HP Lovecraft, felt a lot like a history lesson on fictional pirates, dull conversations between characters, no mystery. Just a wast of time.

He has become far more than just a boy who won a game: he is the Savior of Earth, a hero, a military genius whose allegiance is sought by every nation of the newly shattered Earth Hegemony. He is offered the choice of living in isolation on Eros, at one of the Hegemony's training facilities, but instead the 12-year-old chooses to leave his home world and begin the long relativistic journey out to the colonies.

On the beautiful planet Pern, colonized for centuries, Land Holders and Craftsmen have traditionally tithed food and supplies to the dragonweyrs to which they are bound. In times past, the mighty telepathic dragons and their riders were the only protection from the dreaded, life-threatening Thread. Now those times may be returning....

This reader is just rocking. I think I could buy other books that he has read regardless if they are my normal subject. The reader makes all the difference in the world in a book and I just can not speak more highly of him

I always wanted to read these books but just never had the time and the reader made it even better for me. I felt that, while trying to read it myself, the books were dry. But they are very intriguing.

I was shocked just how much better the book was than the movie. I was afraid that it would be a cheep knock off of Twilight but it is a book all its own. Very intriguing. And the reader rocks hard with sound effects. Then ending froult like it was made with the idea that there was another book to be made so not much was resolved, but that aside it was still good.

Why we think it’s a great listen: It’s easy to say that when it comes to sci-fi you either love it or you hate it. But with Ender’s Game, it seems to be you either love it or you love it.... The war with the Buggers has been raging for a hundred years, and the quest for the perfect general has been underway for almost as long. Enter Andrew "Ender" Wiggin, the result of decades of genetic experimentation.

Orson Scott Card can weave a tale about the power of youth much the same way as King and Spielberg can. The world that Scott creates is very well planned out. Ender and his friends show that age does not mean maturity as they are able to encounter all the challenges thrown at them.

Amworth College, Connecticut - a place where the gates between our world and the Land of Faerie are thin and crumbling, a place where horrors really do lurk in the shadows, and evils in the gardens. A place where the fates of worlds really does hide within the brushstrokes of a forgotten painting. The House Across the Way is a dark fantasy novel by the World Fantasy Award-winning author of Throne of Bones.

Tides tells the tale of the rise of two intelligent species on the same planet, at a time in their history when they first encounter each other. Paras and Ortok are the only two continents on this planet, the homes to these two different species, and are separated by thousands of miles of ocean. Paras is lush and hospitable, a place where no one ever knows want. It has produced a culture of kindness and honesty. Ortok is bleak and volcanic, where the inhabitants survive at a subsistence level.

Its a very thought provoking story, even if the reader was the worst I ever heard, I still wont turn it in for my credit because the story was nice. At times the reader would start a sentience over. But really he made the story so mone-torn it made me think of a how people read epic old stories like the Iliad. So old and distant that the reader couldn't connect and just just reading to get it over with.
