My only complaint with this book are 2 things:
1. they could have chosen a better selection for the sample.
2. for so many catastrophic things to be happening nothing really happened with the characters at the end. No one changed, no one learned anything. They just went on like nothing happened and when they run into each other its odd. I was all in to this book until the ending was so mundane and every day that I was left disappointed
But there were so many cool things going on and cool ideas. And many characters I very much loved and I was hoping that there would be more dialog just to hear them talk.
good strong characters, fun, and a different way of telling a story. Like this story better than some of the others of the author
This what Orson Scott Card wanted to write, and it shows. The depth of the topics in this book could seem a bit more than what its young directed audience can handle.
This could be for you or perhaps not. I didn't think i had the lasting lingering feeling when you finished it that the other stories he has dose have had. It really didn't make me think afterwards
Danny from "The Shining" is back and with the help of a young girl are able to stop a diabolic sect.
It takes a little bit to understand what is join on but well worth it. And the readers voice is so sexy. If you like Confessions of a D-list super villain you will love this one. The story is told from the point of view of a cocky village from a old fiery tail. Yes their is some language and some sexual themes but very good story and well thought out.
Pretty good. I can't wait for the next book in the series. A lot of good theological stuff.
I will not comment on the reader really. She was average and thus tolerable and enjoyable.
I felt there was nothing really special about his story. If felt like the story was a prequel when it wasn't. It was odd how that worked out. You felt like the characters where more developed in other books (that do not exist I think) so their awesomeness was implied as if the reader already had a relationship with them. Character backgrounds where mentioned but never elaborated on. Not much about the world is explained so you feel that there is more that you don't know about.
It gets less like the movie as it goes on but still very enjoyable. Great little story for anyone to listen to and has a wonderful narrater
Dry, nothing like HP Lovecraft, felt a lot like a history lesson on fictional pirates, dull conversations between characters, no mystery. Just a wast of time.
I enjoyed this book. It bridged together enders game and speaker for the dead well and gave you a better insight of how Ender's friends and deeds were perceived right after the formic war.
