Harry, Murphy and every flavor of werewolf you can think of and perhaps a few you didn't think about at all. Susan shows up in this one and she and Harry expand a bit on their relationship. Very good book, lost of twists, some you can intuit and some that just plain blindside you.

The story is the usual top notch.

They changed narrators for this books, and since I've been listening to them and am used to the pronunciation of the other, the new woman takes a lot of the fun out of the book because she doesn't pronounce anything the same way.

I would go see any of these made into a move if they did them well, but somehow I think they'd just make it cheesy.

Let's hope they don't change the narrator again, Keep with the original, makes those of us that listen to the entire series able to pay attention more instead of being distracted by silly things like "why is she saying the name THAT way?"

Jim Butcher creates a world much like our own but with little changes, like say....magic.

Harry Dresden is a wizard and he will do whatever it takes to get the job done, after all, he needs the money. He works for the Chicigo PD and free lance and lucky for him, they all end up being tied together in the end.

He faces demons, monster arachnids, shadow villains and one ticked off police officer trying to figure out what is going on. He seems to be one step behind the bad guys but he never gives up trying.

Definately worth getting this book. If you watched the television series don't expect it to be 100% to that, the books are 1000% better.

I used to stay up all night to read this book in High School. I loved it then and love it now again. Audio makes it so convenient, now I don't have to miss a day at work from staying up all night reading it, I can listen to it on the way in and at work during breaks.

This is one of the best Pern novels for someone that has little or no experience with them. Listen to this one and you'll be hooked and looking for your own fire lizard eggs on the beaches.

I have read this book numerous times and have enjoyed it each and every time. Now listening to it I find even more depth to it. I enjoyed this book and will listen to it many times in the future just for the pure pleasure of it.

Harry is at it again, getting into trouble, taking his friends with him and finding out that no matter what having a fairy godmother is nothing like the fairy tales.

I originally read this book in High School. I bought it now because I remembered it being a good read. I have to admit I enjoyed it as much now as I did then.

For me this is an old favorite that I can now enjoy over and over when I have the spare time to listen.

All I can say is that you need to read or listen to this book yourself. It is enjoyable. The author is great at making all the characters individuals and everyone is sure to find at least one or more they can identify with.

I love the series to read and I love the series to listen to. I hope they get more in so I can get a fuller library of one of my favorite authors on audio.

Unabridged of course....anything else would be sad.

I bought this book more for my boyfriend than for me. I have read this entire series several times already but he had not heard of Piers Anthony.

For me this is like being able to listen to an old friend over again but I have greatly enjoyed being able to talk about it with my boyfriend as he gets into the series.

He feels as I do (so far at least) that this is by far the best book in the series so far.

Death as a job, the idea alone is enthralling and draws you in, makes you wonder how you would handle the situations that the character faces.

This book is confusing. It starts out and you are left trying to figure out what kind of world or place it is taking place in. I consider myself to be above average on intellect but this book left me with more questions than answers till well over halfway through it when my guesses were confirmed and some explanations were given.

The first long sci fi book I ever read was one by Heinlein and was well over my head at the time (I was in 7th grade) and this book left me feeling like that one did. Like I read it and understood it but that I'd have to reread it when I'm older to fully understand it. Well...I'm older now than 7th grade and I doubt I'll get the rest of the books in this series.

If you like a book that is written so that only graduates of MIT will understand it go for it, otherwise you might want to find something better to listen to, like a book on quantum physics, it will make more sense to you.
