Best bit of advice in the book that we all know, but need to stick to is ‘live below your means’. This book is excellent for people who have just left home and want some tips on their grocery bill or how to get the most boring, uptight dinner outing. If you can’t afford to purchase what is on a menu, then don’t go out…simple! I was disappointed with this book, as I was hoping on some real advise, helpful tips like instead of buying expensive cleaners, use 2 tablespoons of vinegar diluted in 500mls of water as a glass cleaner etc., but sadly no, this book was filled with collect coupons, use coupons, ask for coupons, blah, blah, blah. I know the author said she wanted to help with her readers getting out of debt, but I believe I would have helped myself better by saving my $5. Was there 101 tips? No!
Quick to listen to, but would be a lot better if a PDF was supplied with audio, rather than having to write manually. Half the ideas were common knowledge, but there were also some good tips. Great to keep in mind when you’re cleaning someone’s house and you run out of a product; that there is an easy substitute close by, possibly in their kitchen cupboard.
Looking forward to this becoming a movie or TV series, with the right actors/actresses and special effects it would be a major hit :)
If I had a chance I would have read the book none stop, but reality is...we have to work :( I love Bones character, the way his voice is read and written reminds me of Spike out of Buffy, but gorgeous. Kat / Kitten is a fresh person you can easily relate with and the author makes you want to laugh and read on. Kat's romance is heated without being over done. I love the way the story unfolds, I am now on my second book; I'm certain I'll be reading all 6 plus any future book of this series, plus the related series starting with book 1 'First Drop of Crimson'.
Definitely a 5 star plus rating. Thank you Audible for the $4.95 1st book in a series sale, other wise I may have over looked this amazing writer.
I love Faith Hunters' stories. I usually hate books that keep going, but Jane is a character one can't get enough of. Please write the next book, but Jane needs a mate soon :)
Aurthor gives a loose plot with no real feeling or empathy for her characters. Story is boring and ridiculous!
Reader has trouble pronouncing words and the characters are hard to follow; change in voices poorly delivered.
I could not listen after chapter 6; I think I did well to try for that long :(
Yes. As Vasari lived in the time of the Master artists, and gave his view of how they were perceived in his day.
Vasari himself, the way he talks about other artist; 'Leonardo da Vinci was frivolous'; could not complete anything before moving on to something else, or the artist that boiled 50 eggs at a time for eating, whilst he was making his egg mixture for tempera!
I haven't finished the book yet. But there is a lot to take in, which makes you want to stop pause and talk about. I will definitely be listening to this book a few more times, start to finish, to learn a lot of past artist names, the way they perceived art and the way they were treated by their own people of their time.
The music between chapters is the real killer of the book. If the music went for 2 - 5 seconds and at a lower decibel, it may be bearable. Instead it last for up to 25 seconds by this stage I’m murderous. Only a Classis organ player would enjoy that part.
