the performance was so lacking I can't say whether I liked the story or not. I could only stand the performer for short periods, then I had to turn him off!
Began with a good premise and went down hill plot wise, which was too bad because I believe the writer has potential. The female character grew dumber by the chapter and I kept expecting a scene from the stooges to appear next.
Enjoyed the narrators well enough, considering some of the dialogue that made it past the editor. I am not a fan of writers narrating their own works.
Honest self-editing (read like a copy of a copy at times) followed by brutal professional editing
Just because a book makes the best seller list does not guarantee it is a well written piece of work. Sometimes it's just a new idea people can appreciate. It may not be worth copying.
I was disappointed with this release. I think in an effort to add a fourth book to the series the story was left to fizzle and die a slow, uncaring death. Then skirted closure by not providing an ending to this book at all. Either wait until the fourth book is released and reviewed (might decide book four does not need an ending either) or walk away from Ava and Gideon after book two.
