Over the course of the last five years, Tim Tebow established himself as one of the greatest quarterbacks in the history of college football and a top prospect in the NFL. During that time he amassed an unparalleled resume - winning two BCS national championships; becoming the first sophomore in NCAA history to win the Heisman trophy; and in the face of massive public scrutiny, being drafted in the first round of the NFL draft by the Denver Broncos.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

I highly recommend this book to get a look into the life of a very interesting young man.

What did you like best about this story?

Although there were times when all the detail behind each play/game seemed boring, it provided a foundation for the story. I enjoyed learning about his family and the role they played in his life and how a 'homeschooled' young man has grown to be a light in the ever darkening wold of pro sports.

    Any additional comments?

I read this book for one reason. To learn more about the young quarterback who seems to be in the news weekly and sometimes daily. I am not a sports 'nut' but I enjoy reading about a success story of a young man who is making a positive difference in the sporting (entertainment) industry. Too often stars in the sport world are horrible role models filled with self pride and are very arrogant. This young man is setting a good example and is destined to be a great role model for young aspiring athletes.

In this luminous memoir, a true American icon looks back on his celebrated life and career. His body of work is arguably the most morally significant in cinematic history, and the power and influence of that work are indicative of the character of the man behind the many storied roles. Sidney Poitier here explores these elements of character and personal values to take his own measure: as a man, as a husband and a father, and as an actor.

First, his voice is amazing! The tell of his youth and the struggles to build him into the man he became is amazing. As others stated, it seemed he rambled on and on diminishing the value of the point. There were times when I kept checking how much was left of the book. Overall, the book is very good and I rated it 4 stars but if 3.5 were available that is my selection. I wanted to learn about a man who had tremendous impact on the culture and history of this nation which is why I listened to the book. Additionally, it was recommended as a must listen. I wouldn't say it is a must listen but it is worth listening to at least once. I wouldn't listen to it a second time and would recommend it as a listen for those who enjoy learning about successful people who paved the path in history.

When a mysterious note referencing a top-secret US operation is tossed over the wall of the embassy in Nicaragua, Nathan McBride and his old pal Harv are called out of retirement by CIA Director Rebecca Cantrell and sent to Central America. Cantrell wants the situation resolved quickly and knows that Nathan is the man to do it; after all, he has a history with the place. The jungle he and Harv are about to land in is the same one that Nathan barely escaped with his life decades before, an ordeal that left him physically and psychologically scarred.

When I listened to book three, I thought it was the 'best' in the series until I listened to this book. Nathan McBride reminds me of a modern day comic book hero but much more believable and engaging in the action. This is one of those books that kept me engaged through the end and would make a tremendous movie for many reasons. Although the other books in the series were great, this is the best with a tremendous story line.

Where does Code Talker rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

    Top 20

What was one of the most memorable moments of Code Talker?

When they were awarded the gold medal.

    Which scene was your favorite?

Looking back on the irony of their chastisement over speaking Navajo then it used to 'save' the country.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Yes, when he returned as a non-stated hero and was treated very poor by a government worker since he was a Navajo

    Any additional comments?

I almost stopped listening two or three times since it seemed to dwell on certain items that didn't seem relevant until I finished the book. There were times the story moved very slow but I am glad I finished it because it added much value to my view on the importance the Navajos played not only in WWII but other parts of our history.

What made the experience of listening to Option to Kill the most enjoyable?

Unlike normal 'super hero' books. The story is much different than the others in the Nathan McBride series but with enough similarity.

Who was your favorite character and why?

    Lauren

What does Dick Hill bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Amazing ability to display the character as he illustrates and narrates the book.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Laughter over some of the statements of Lauren and yes I cried a few times.

    Any additional comments?

    Best in the series!

I found it predictable, lacking in suspense, and underwhelming compared to many others I read/listened to in the same genre.

A few times, I almost deleted it from my iPhone out of boredom but kept listening thinking a new twist was around the corner. Obviously, the writer enjoys the details of the weapons which seemed to make the weapons more the subject than the characters.

I gave it a 3 star overall based on the fact the story line 'could' happen in the near future.

At first I wasn't sure if I would enjoy the book or not. I purchased it based on a few recommendations and this is one of those books that contains many hidden meanings and lessons. There were a few times when the narrator (the author) seemed dry in his delivery, (which is why I rated performance a 3) but overall the book's content made up for the delivery. I recommend the book for all of the life's nuggets. Create your own story and live life to its fullest!

Maybe if the book was narrated by someone else or someone used to using different voices for the anecdotes and stories I could rate it higher. I reached 50% into the book and became bored because although the stories were different, they sounded the same when read by Gloria. I am sorry but this began to depress rather than inspire me from the stories. I have it on my iPhone and will pick up listening to it in the future but it isn't a book that I could finish without stopping many times.
