"Not Nearly as Naughty as I was hoping"
More kissy than kinky. Let's face it, I read a lot of smut, and the naughtier the better. This, in my mind, does not really qualify as erotic. The story was okay, the characters a little too whiney and broken for me, and the sex was...well....fankly... a little boring.
If 50 shades was too risque for you, then this will be right up your alley.
There is the threat of a D/s scene, but it never really happens, you know, because her love fixes him. ( sorry, I just threw up in my mouth a little bit). If you like your smut charcter driven (and I do occassionally assuming I like the characters) it's not too bad.
The narration was good, audio quality good.
"I love a man with a potty mouth......."
This book is amazingly hot....and naughty....and hot....and well read...and hot....and suspensful...and hot. Did I mention it was hot? Not like jalepeno pepper hot.....like Vindaloo curry hot.
There is an art to talking dirty...and Jack Cole has it down to a science.....
"Hysterical"
I loved this, I was literally laughing aloud. You want to hate her, you really do...but you just can't. Tastes a little like Mean Girls....fun listen!
"Ugh...."
This was truly awful....really. I made it about 45 minutes into the book before I just had to turn it off. A woman who works at a sex club got fired from her last job for having sex at work, offers to have a threesome out of the blue with another employee......but dumps her boyfriend for talking dirty to someone on the phone? Ya....that happens.
I don't expect realism, it is fiction afterall, but sheesh.....there ought to be enough in there that I can get caught up in the fantasy of it.
I suppose it might get better later in the book, but I'll never know.
"It Doesn't Get any Hotter than this!"
Again, this one stays on the iPod. The narrator is perfect and I love the story. It's obscene, raunchy, hardcore and I loved every minute of it..all three listens.
"Is it hot in here or is it me?"
Wow....just wooowwwwww!!! I had to add new highs to the naughty scale...I love this one. Almost as much as I love the Marketplace series. Def not for the faint of heart....but for me...perfect. This one stays on the ipod.
"Entertaining and sexy as hell."
This doesn't register high on my naughty scale, but it was well worth the credit. I enjoyed the book. If you liked 50 shades, you'll love it. There's more suspense, there's humour and the main character gets past the whiney stage fairly quickly.
"Quick and Dirty"
I wanted to spank Tessa, and not not in the good way. I'm quite certain I rolled my eyes more than once, but it wasn't awful. A little too predictable, a little too cheesy. A little too 50 shades.
"Post-Apocolyptic Sexcapades"
This is not bad, the sex scenes are hot, and there are a lot of them, it tasted a little like a very...very naughty Hunger Games. It did not really grab me and take hold like some stories do, but all in all it was ok. If you are looking for a naughty listen, you coulddo mch worse.
"Like....with soy sauce?"
The story was good, but the narrator ruined the listen for me. She mispronounces so many words it becomes destracting. The one that finally did me in was wanton...mispronounced as in referencing a chinese dumpling. I couldn't think of anything else except being as horny as potsticker after that and shut the bok off.
"Naughty & Wonderful"
This was soooooo sexy. I couldn't bring myself to turn it off. A credit well spent, truly.
