"hated it"
only managed to get halfway threw this one. everything about it was bad especially the narration
"Not a very good follow-up"
I started listening to Feedback the same day I finished Variant, it was so good I just couldn't wait but Feedback was a little messy to follow and just not as interesting.
"Who speaks this way?!"
I loved the book!!! I'm a huge fan of post-apocalyptic novels and this was one of the best. However I almost quit listening when the character Ida was introduced...She sounded like a slave from the 1800's. Who speaks that way?! This story is set in the near future!!! And Ida's not even from the South she's in Philadelphia!!!! I had to force myself to get past the "mama's, You-hush-now's and no-mo's" I'm glad I did because it was still a great listen, defintely worth the 2 cerdits.
"Made Me Dizzy"
This book made me dizzy. There were too many perspectives for it to be a good 'listen' possibly a better 'read' but I doubt it. I'm a huge sci-fi fan, so I understand the need for fantastic, technical sounding words but the author used so many "made-up" words, that at some points in the book it sounded like a different language. Just not very well written.
