Dubbed "the American Tolkien" by Time magazine, number-one New York Times best-selling author George R. R. Martin is a giant in the field of fantasy literature and one of the most exciting storytellers of our time. Now he delivers a rare treat for listeners: a compendium of his shorter works, collected into two stunning volumes, that offers fascinating insight into his journey from young writer to award-winning master.

Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?

This is good for short stories some very very engaging and others were hard to site through but I think that had more to do readers than the writing.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Loved the pear shaped man, very funny story.

Would you listen to another book narrated by the narrators?

    I have.

What did you love best about Arcadia Falls?

Loved the characters at the school I am very familiar with the area so I had an easy time picturing the scene.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Arcadia Falls?

The beginning was the best the drive to the school and the finding of the journal.

What does Jen Taylor bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

I thought the readers voice was very good and emphasizes at the right place.

The reading of the journal and the trip to the school for unwed mothers and the time spent there was moving.

The New York Times best-selling author heralds the future of business in Free. In his revolutionary best seller, The Long Tail, Chris Anderson demonstrated how the online marketplace creates niche markets, allowing products and consumers to connect in a way that has never been possible before. Now, in Free, he makes the compelling case that, in many instances, businesses can profit more from giving things away than they can by charging for them.

Would you consider the audio edition of FREE to be better than the print version?

It felt like the author was reading and explaining to you as you went. I feel I understood more listening to this book than reading it. It is not always that way.

What other book might you compare FREE to and why?

    not sure

Which character – as performed by Chris Anderson – was your favorite?

    Only one character, the author

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

no it had too much information to absorb in one sitting, I will probably listen to it a few times
