Amazing how adults can screw up kids lives. Anyway, while I don't believe these characters are 7th graders, I can believe they are teens. And they have certainly been dealt a bad hand in this game. Making the best of things is their way of life and I laughed considerably while they did this. I saw the plot coming long before it happened. If you like this book then you should get the Ariadne Meyers narrated books by
Sarah Mlynowski. Start with Bras and Broomsticks. Not only will you laugh about being a teen again, but Ariadne Meyers was great.
I enjoyed Francois Battiste in this book. I'll look for books he has narrated in the future.
The author read his own story, which doesn't work all the time. It started out a bit on the blah side in reading. I think as the story progressed the author's softer voice became more convincing.
A good reader is critical for audio books and I am always a bit worried when a non-professional voice is doing the reading.
I enjoyed the stories about the many lives of Catherine. Her descriptions and explanations of things in her lives were crazy, weird, exciting and dramatic. It made me wonder how she has progressed in her relationships after she solved her anxieties, depression, and fear. Is she still having an affair with a man she knows from a previous life? Did she end it? How have things progressed with her parents?
The news from the Masters is moving. We have so much to learn on the Earth.
This quick listen is a classic Shadow story. It is creepy, strange and holds your attention. I think this story has good clarity considering the age (a few pops and whistles) and the story is strong. I like it!
I think this book is totally for SNL fans. 'Pat' isn't doing it for me.
If you really enjoy listening to live comedy AND you like Saturday Night Live, then this book is for you. I'm having a hard time with poking fun at one's family in this fashion.
Sorry everyone. I know you don't like my few stars but would you allow me to not enjoy this? Call it my crazy moment, but allow me to choose my own 5 star books. Ok?
This is a very sad story. A woman is hit by a young driver that 'doesn't get it'. He thinks it just doesn't matter. The husband is extremely upset. Very sad.
A trenchcoat from England starts a conversation. A new chap wants one and then stiffs the guy who orders it. Now, the coat salesman is suspicious of the new guy. 'He doesn't have a job and doesn't know what a callous is'.
Pretty good story.
A blinding fog starts the story. The mother and son are a corrupt team. Crime runs in the family.
A hotel safe was robbed and the jewelry is stolen. It is heading to the melting pot unless Friday gets the case cracked. Good story.
A mental asylum has had two escape! Cranston and Ms. Lane come across their new home while driving on a dark, strange back road on their way home. Chaos ensues!
The sound quality is not great.
Wow! This was a really good story and played out well. The characters were real and believable. This is one of the highlights of the whole series!
A corrupt government is at the center, I guess it seems so real today - just read any news site.
Wow! This book really improved on the series with Evan and Jessie getting along and using the skills of each other to 'get the job done'.
Grandma's bell has disappeared and two mean boys now live in the neighborhood. Maxwell rescues a frog, Jessie finds Grandma when she gets lost and Evan proves he has skills of his own. All ends well with the New Year being rung in, literally.
