Each part of this novel is beautifully written and heartfelt, but I like it when all the parts come together in some meaningful way... and this didn't happen in The Tiger's Wife. It was pleasant to listen to, though ultimately didn't do anything for me.
Amazing book... couldn't stop listening. Middle grows a tad long, but worth it in the end, for sure.
Couldn't get through the first two hours, dark, grouchy, narrator has an annoying voice. All around bummer.
I like the idea of this book more than the book itself. The main characters weren't very likable, and in the end I didn't actually care what happened to them. Bummer.
I was a Naomi Ragen fan until this book, but this one is not just flat and lacking in depth, it's poorly written, too. The dialogue made me cringe several times; I could barely finish the novel.
