One of the things I enjoyed most was the new perspective of WWII. The way the story is told through letters is very charming. I would highly recommend this book.

I still have the last 1/3 of this book to listen to but I really don't know if I will bother. I found the story completely depressing and predictable. The story is told from the point of view of the family dog who is beloved. The different perspective is charming and interesting but just not enough to make up for the lack of plot. I really want to like this book but every time I go to finish it I find myself listening to music for shopping for a new book. I would NEVER recommend this book to my book club. I only know one person who might enjoy it but she is known for her love of depressing books.

Embarrassing is running on a busy trail with head phones in and laughing so hard you start to hyperventilate and make an ugly face like you are crying really hard.... I still could not turn off the book. Very well done, highly recommend.
