Nine people have been slain in New York City, nine strangers with nothing in common - the apparent victims of a frighteningly elusive serial killer. Only one thing links the dead: postcards they received, mailed from Las Vegas, announcing the day they would die.

    Rebecca says: "An Ear Burner"
    "Great story!"
    Overall

I really enjoyed this book! Fits in with the flavor of James Rollins or Preston/Child novels. My single complaint is the overkill use of the "F-Bomb." Hey - I lived in NYC and actually thought I was immune to it, but come on! Otherwise, it's a fun read.

Hidden deep beneath Manhattan lies a warren of tunnels, sewers, and galleries, mostly forgotten by those who walk the streets above. There lies the ultimate secret of the Museum Beast. When two grotesquely deformed skeletons are found deep in the mud off the Manhattan shoreline, museum curator Margo Green is called in to aid the investigation.

Jim says: "An unsurpassed thrill ride"
    "I love Agent Pendergast!"

I could read anything with him in it! This was a fan and exciting sequel to Relic. It only gets 4 stars because of the change in narrator... It's hard to listen to 14 hours of Relic with certain accents and pronunciations and then go into the sequel with a completely different guy...

Just days before a massive exhibition opens at the popular New York Museum of Natural History, visitors are being savagely murdered in the museum's dark hallways and secret rooms. Autopsies indicate that the killer cannot be human. But the museum's directors plan to go ahead with a big bash to celebrate the new exhibition, in spite of the murders. Museum researcher Margo Green must find out who - or what - is doing the killing.

I spent an entire 3-day weekend listening to this! Couldn't stop! I love Pendergast. I need to see if there are more books with his character other than Reliquary.

While Abraham Lincoln is widely lauded for saving a Union and freeing millions of slaves, his valiant fight against the forces of the undead has remained in the shadows for hundreds of years. That is, until Seth Grahame-Smith stumbled upon The Secret Journal of Abraham Lincoln, and became the first living person to lay eyes on it in more than 140 years.

Haden says: "My friends thought I was crazy."
"Hate Vampires, but LOVED this book!"
    Overall

I was afraid this would be one of those wannabe Twilight knock-offs, but I was pleasantly surprised! It reads like a true biography and is so believable that it can't be called cheesy. Definitely worth a listen!
