"Look out Shakespere"
As touching story as Romeo and Juliet. The narrater did an excellent job and Melissa a fine author.
"Say, What?"
Christine Warren has happened upon one of the best story line I have heard yet. Couple that with the narration of Kate Reading and you have one of the best performance I have heard yet. I would not hesitate to compare it to one of the best of Laurel K. Hamilton and Laural Merlington, Kim Harrison or Carrie Vaughn and Marguerite Gavin. All that and it is erotic too.
I think the group is the best character because they hold the story together. Apart from the group there is no favourite character. The ladies all have strengths that make for the perfect partnerships
I could listen to Kate Reading read for days. Oh! That is what I did.
This book was definitely not one I wanted to listen to in one sitting. The whole series was.
Christine Warren is one of the finest writers I have heard.
"Narrater diminishes the story"
Yes but not with the enthusiasm of other book. The narrator lacks the passion of the other books.
The princess.
Having Laurel Merlington narrate.
I love the series because of the passion and would read more.
"Tension!"
The tension just about drove me crazy. I was on pins and needles the whole time.
Rachel because she just creates the suspense that drives me crazy.
As a retired person I listened to this all in one sitting and now must listen again to get everything I missed. The third time will be just for fun.
Thank to Marguerite Gavin for making the story such a joy to listen to. Kim Harrison is a wonderful writer and I love her character development especally the new improved Rachel.
"In the tradition of Carrie Vaughn, Dawn Cook ..."
I recommend this audiobook because the narration of Lorelei King brings the whole series to life.
It is in the tradition of Carrie Vaughn's Kitty and the Midnight Hour and Dawn Cook's Truth Series
I have listened to the first five stories of the Mercy Thompson series and enjoyed them a great deal
Movies are never as good as the audiobooks.
Patricia Briggs has writer a wounderful series of romantic adventure stories. I love the stories and the narration.
"The most exciting yet"
Exciting story with adventure and tenderness.
It stands alone but maybe Stephenie Meyers Host.
A lot of the series I listen to are narrated by her. Kitty and the midnight hour being just one
Yes
"Always a good story well narrated"
I love the book. It allows the suspension of reality for a while.
all the characters were exciting and vivid.
Trent
They can never make this a movie as good as the book
"Critics!"
I listened to this story because of the narrator but was about to buy the previous because I liked the story. Then I listened to the critics and real wonder. I love Jennifer Van Dyck reading style because the emphasis is on the story not theatrics. She puts feeling into the story but the authors story is what she is relating.
I love this story Maria V. Snyder has a good story and I think Jennifer Van Dyck does a great job of delivering it.
Now I am going back and buying the other books in the series.
"I finally understand"
Because I couldn't get the rest of this series I decided to listen to the weather warden series. It puts Cassel in a setting that make sense. I wouldn't have listened to the Weather Warden series if the second book in this series was available. I am glad I did. Now that I meshed the two series together it puts everything in perspective. You have to understand the Wardens struggle for the story to really pop. Rachel is brilliant. I really love the story. Cynthia does a great job narrating compared with Kendel's audio which is not close. i am really eager for the rest of the series. Nice job Rachel thanks for the wonderful stories.
"Like a breath of fresh air"
This is not the usual type of story that Carrie tells, but it is a fresh story type for me. I really liked it. It took some getting use to and I enjoyed it more the second time I listened, but it took me a little to get over my preconceptions of what to expect. It is definitely worth multiple listenings. It requires you to concentrate on following the story line because of it extensive use of an anacoluthonistic narrative style. The narration is well done. I like it, and in my opinion it is a definite keeper.
"Weather Wardens Ill Wind is a fair breeze."
Very exciting story well written and well read. I was enthralled by this story. I enjoyed the narration of Dina Pearlman. She does justice to Rachel's writing. All my thanks to both of them.
