Maybe it was the Shenanigans gift certificate that put her over the edge. When children's librarian and self-professed nice girl Jane Jameson is fired by her beastly boss and handed $25 in potato skins instead of a severance check, she goes on a bender that's sure to become Half Moon Hollow legend. On her way home, she's mistaken for a deer, shot, and left for dead.

Sandra Ross says: "Laugh-out Loud Funny"
    "Who cares"
    Overall

Initially, the book was funny and presented a unique perspective on vampire life BUT ultimately it was clear that it was more like running commentary about vampire life in KY minus the interesting narrative. Not worth the $$.

Andie Cochran thought she had at last escaped the clutches of her ruthless, power-mad ex-husband -- but then he abducted the child she loved more than life itself. And now, alone in a foreign country, she had no one to turn to but another very dangerous man -- a man who awakened passions she had thought long dead.

LeftyMom says: "Narrator excellent, story just a little less"
    "Super Boring"
    Overall

I like some Susan Mallery books (spec. The Best of Friends, the Lonestar Sister Series and Sizzling) but this one was slow and boring.

It's the stuff dreams are made of. Hollywood discovers a South Carolina orphan, Honey Jane Moon, and makes her a star. She lives a roller-coaster life. Now, though, she's all grown up, a child star no longer, but still dramatic and passionate. Two men, Dash Coogan, a cowboy movie legend, and Eric Dillion, the town's bad boy, know how fiercely she loves and lives. What Honey wants is the family she never had. She'll take the man who latches onto her dreams and who can hang on for the ride!

    Ellen says: "SEP never disappoints"
    "Wonderful Story"

Susan Elizabeth Phillips is the best chic lit writer! She's a great storyteller each book is unique.

Rebecca Worden is the wild child in her wealthy family. The once-popular diva has burned so many bridges that no one will talk to her except Jayne, whose late mother was a housekeeper in Rebecca’s Beverly Hills neighborhood. Rebecca’s mother considers Jayne a calming influence on her out-of-control child and Jayne becomes part surrogate daughter, part servant to the Wordens. A decade later, when Rebecca returns home along with her brother, David, it is an uneasy reunion....

    "Great Story"

This was a well written story with good character development. I'd be interested to see if this book becomes part of a series.

Murder. Love. Jealousy. And the ultimate betrayal. Now, with Rose on trial for her life and Lissa first in line for the Royal Crown, nothing will ever be the same between them.

Really bad. The narration wasn't great but the writing was worse. The 5th book was the best of the series.
