    Captivating thriller

Divergent was awesome too! The characters were so real, I am sad that I have finished the second book. I am anxiously waiting for the next one in this series.

It is 1845. New York City forms its first police force. The great potato famine hits Ireland. These two seemingly disparate events will change New York City. Forever.... Timothy Wilde tends bar near the Exchange, fantasizing about the day he has enough money to win the girl of his dreams. But when his dreams literally incinerate in a fire devastating downtown Manhattan, he finds himself disfigured, unemployed, and homeless. Fascinating story and a great narration.
Even though there were some gruesome parts,
I enjoyed every word from beginning to end.
I'd love to find other 4-5 star books like this,
Ones you can't put down till the end, and
then wish it wasn't quite over just yet.

On November 22, 1963, three shots rang out in Dallas, President Kennedy died, and the world changed. What if you could change it back? In this brilliantly conceived tour de force, Stephen King - who has absorbed the social, political, and popular culture of his generation more imaginatively and thoroughly than any other writer - takes listeners on an incredible journey into the past and the possibility of altering it.

Great twist on history, and the mystery of what if events of that horrible cataclysmic event been changed. As a baby boomer I enjoyed being brought back to my childhood with the memories of times gone by and the colloquialisms so common in my youth, brought smiles and giggles of pure enjoyment. Once again Steven King has written an engrossing novel
