Better than I could have hoped. This listen was just great. There are a few things that die-hard Conan Doyle fans might point out as deviating from the master, but the excellence of the story and its telling can't be denied.
A creeper with OCD and a daughter who finds evidence of a crime during one of his midnight escapades might sound like an intriguing story line, but this book took too long to get moving, too long to get to the crux of the story and too long to wrap up. The deep detail of the lives of the cops who pursue the Tag Man was really just distraction from the story, since the Tag Man himself didn't seem to have much background. Just a very uneven book without much to recommend it.
