"They just keep getting better!"
This series just gets better as each page goes by! Stephen King has mingled a lifetime of previous stories into this series. I find that I've been pulled right along with these characters, on the journey to the Dark Tower - an ongoing saga about different whens and wheres, that crosses paths with King's immortal "The Stand". Perhaps King will change his mind and continue to grow this series for years to come. As I, you will not want this to ever end. Truly his best work - and what a mini-series for TV this would make!!
"Jordan, Brooks - move over!"
If you like Robert Jordan, or Terry Brooks, this series is in that league! Picking up where Eragon left off, you'll find you simply can't put this down. One of the great joys is knowing that the Author is so young, that I'll always have a new book of his to look forward to!
"Undoing the writer's block!"
This series just keeps getting better as the pages pass... now we have revealed the ultimate writer's paradox, a story that takes on it's own life - whose character's ask the writer to keep writing! I, for one, don't want this series to ever end. In this book, Stephen King (with the help of his characters) starts to pull all of the loose strings together. You won't want to miss this one. However, you can't start with this book - read the previous 5 first or you will be lost for sure!
"Outstanding!"
Some of these reviewers must have read another book, or listened to another reader! Scott Brick brings Paul Brenner to life in a way no other reader can. I felt my Vietnam "adventure" through his words. As one who lived through many of the events described here, I can only thank them both for an accurate portrayal of an era to many have forgotten. Some books are not written for the masses, but Up Country tells a story many of us will never forget. This is a MUST read!
"My first Koontz, won't be my last!"
What a lovely story this turns out to be. The naration is as good as it gets - if you love Frank Muller, you will love this reader too! This book captured me, and held me all the way to the end - an ending which I simply never saw coming! Place this Koontz book on your list of must reads, and seach for books read by David Aaron Baker!
