Tales like How the Leopard Got His Spots and The Elephant's Child answer questions only children would ask and answer them in a way only children would believe. Kipling very much intended his Just So Stories to be read aloud - and no one does it better than Carl Reiner as he brings each original story to life. A superbly amusing and entertaining experience, Kipling's Just So Stories will delight both young and old alike.

Just So Stories is an amazing book. My parents read it to me, and I read it to my kids. I've always liked Carl Reiner, so I picked this version. The reading is AWFUL!!! First issue: one might think Reiner was on a clock. He races through the stories so fast it's sometimes hard to follow. And, Just So Stories are best read slowly, with rhythm.

Second issue: Reiner does not correctly read the story. As an example, in the reading of The Elephant's Child, Kipling, when referring to the Limpopo River, repeats the phrase "great grey green greasy Limpopo RIver, all set about with fever trees". It is sing-songy, and the alliteration is great for a child. Reiner never reads it the same way twice, rushing through, leaving out words, and adding the word grassy on occasion. I can't believe some editor didn't correct this. It is HORRIBLE!

I've had Audible books I didn't like. I have many I've not finished. But, I never felt ripped-off before. I want my money back!!! The reading is AWFUL!!!

"What is the secret contained in Philip Schuyler's painting? Who was the woman he depicted, the innocent woman and her dark stalker? The Kreunen sisters know, but they must re-bury the past. And Jacob Lerner, artist flailing in a sea of commerce, can only press forward, explore his own art and the mystery of Schuyler's painting, aided and manipulated by an animate marionette of rosy glass...

I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of this work. I'll be looking for more from this author.
The story is deep and complex. It brought me back - I wanted to keep reading because I wanted to understand - and it is an intricate plot that spans centuries. I recommend you give it a try - now - while it still has an introductory price. Don't use a credit, just buy it, you won't be disappointed.

Who's Looking Out for You? is a book that boldly confronts our worst fears and biggest problems in a post-9/11, post-corporate-meltdown world. Its sage, candid advice on regaining control and trust in these troubled times will resonate with the millions of readers and viewers who have come to believe in Bill O'Reilly as the man who speaks for them.

I would not recommend anyone waste their time with this tripe. O'reilly is so self-righteous and self-congratulatory, that this is just plain hard to listen to.
