"Powerful book for Women!!!!"
I have listened to Guilty wives at least 20 time... January LaVoy was great at reading and depicting the cruel Lucy and Sabin.... her french accent was spot on.... I love how she depicted Abbey as a strong, highly moraled woman trying to keep her sanity together.
Abbie Elliot was my favorite because she was depicted as a strong and clever woman... she never gave up hope and was never bullied. I like Lucy and Sabin as well they were depicted as ugly, corrupt and just plain nasty people. Lynnette depicted as the helpful sweet co-prisoner of Abbey and had helped Abbey through her ordeal while in prison.
This is the first time I have heard January Lavoy and as of right now I am trying to find books that she has performed on. The one reason I love this book was her performance... the way she depicted Abbie's strength; quick wit or quick witted remarks towards the villains was at times hilarious and I found myself clapping and crying at the same time. I hope she reads more for James Patterson ... As a matter of fact i have just finished the 11th Hour by James Patterson and I loved her performance there as well...
There were two events: the death of Lynette and the Wendie as well as when Abbie finally was able to escape prison... I was on pin and needles listening to her when Abbie was on the last gate and the guard asked her about her bandage. (thinking it was the evil Lucy)...
Yes as I have said earlier I hope January LaVoy will read more of the James Patterson books (Women's murder club; etc) because I just love listening to her....
I would highly recommend this book to everyone .... it has drama, sexiness and hopefully they make this into a movie would love how Abbie and Ingersoll have a series like Alex Cross and the Bennett series.
"Funny Funny Funny"
Yes absolutely, the three main characters though bumbling through the court proceedings were funny ....
I fell in love with the court proceedings and how Dennis Boutsikaris delivered David's court appearance.... it made me wish that I should have taken my father's advice and be a lawyer. (He is one of course)
Dennis Boutikaris MADE listening good... I love his performance in this book
When David won his first case
"Amazing Book"
Yes absolutely!!! the reason why I bought the audio I had a hard time following the print... I originally bought it because it was part of my daughter's (sophomore year high school) summer reading ... I thought that both of us can read together and discuss the book itself; needless to say it brought us closer together as well as I learned a lot from this book... I urge parents to read this.
There is no comparison to the new books now . Maybe the Great Gatsby or Wundering Heights.
I loved all the character that Christopher Hurt has performed... He is a great storyteller. Wish James Patterson would hire him lol for the Cross and Bennett Books
Absolutely... This book has made me explain to my daughter the importance of making sure that Censorship should not be allowed in a free country and it is our as well as her peers to keep an open dialog and open their minds. How knowledge is power
"EXCITING, VERY FUNNY, SEXY AND ROMANTIC"
Next to my all time favorites Guilty Wives, Now You See Her Now You Don't, Kill Me If You Can!!!
Elizabeth and Abigail and Brooks.
Absolutely... I was laughing, crying (especially when Elizabeth's selfish, cold and calculating mother abandoned her) !!
This is my first Nora Roberts book and I love it!!!! I look forward to reading her other books
"Funny as hell and surprising ending"
I listened to this book just as much as I have listened to Guilty Wives. OMG the ending was awesome and hoping there will be series attached to it.
The twist and turn on the storyline. Characters that I thought were just shadows or unimportant were surprisingly..... YOU just have to read the book ... there were too many twists and turns I was on pins and needles... I had to stop my SUV at one point in the parkway because I got too excited and started talking to my IPHONE lol....
They were perfect...
OMG Yes.
I hope Patterson as I have said earlier would make a series on the Ghost because the book was funny, exciting .....
"Great Book"
I love the series. The friendship of the girls were amazing making me wish I have a circle of friends that I go out drinking out and have a great time. Don't get me wrong I love my friends but they are not as fun as these girls.
YES... I love all three books.. I love the series just as I love the Bennett, Alex Cross
It was so so ... Her voice was annoying.
Its just her voice ... it was annoying. I guess because I love LaVoys performance with the Guilty Wives and 11th hour
Except for the narrator I love this book. Detective needs to learn to trust Joe lol
