This exciting finale to Lauren Olive's New York Times best-selling Delirium trilogy is a riveting blend of nonstop action and forbidden romance in a dystopian United States. Now an active member of the resistance, Lena has transformed. The nascent rebellion that was underway in Pandemonium has ignited into an all-out revolution in Requiem, and Lena is at the center of the fight. After rescuing Julian from a death sentence, Lena and her friends fled to the Wilds. But the Wilds are no longer a safe haven.

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

Good time spent but hoped for much more

Which character – as performed by Sarah Drew – was your favorite?

    Lana

Did Requiem inspire you to do anything?

    No

    Any additional comments?

Without spoiling it, I was disappointed with the ending. L. Oliver had to know that the readers wanted more 'time' and info at the end. Instead I sat there wanting more. I would not read/listen to this book again because of this. The only other thing ill say is I'm team

Now, picking up from A Discovery of Witches' cliff-hanger ending, Shadow of Night plunges Diana Bishop and Matthew Clairmont into Elizabethan London, a world of spies, subterfuge, and a coterie of Matthew's old friends, the mysterious School of Night that includes Christopher Marlowe and Walter Raleigh. Here, Diana must locate a witch to tutor her in magic, Matthew is forced to confront a past he thought he had put to rest, and the mystery of Ashmole 782 deepens. Deborah Harkness has crafted a gripping journey through a world of alchemy, time travel, and magical discoveries.

What would have made Shadow of Night better?

I'm currently reading book 3, and although I understand parts of book 2 were necessary ...it dragged! This author chgd her style it seems and takes forever to get back to the good exciting stuff. It feels like she's filling pages and delaying because she can't fill the story with enough interesting pages. A lot of fluff in the 2nd book. And although I loved the first book, it seemed like her attempt ton corporate her real life wine tasting experiences into a non fiction book about vampires and witches where it did not belong.

Although the 3rd book is coming together I'm pushing myself to
Keep going hoping it will get to the great climax expecting after all of this.

Has Shadow of Night turned you off from other books in this genre?

    Almost

What did you like about the performance? What did you dislike?

In fairness it's more the authors fault

What character would you cut from Shadow of Night?

    The alchemist
