There were so many times I just wanted to scream, "Oh get on with it." Talk about page fillers! Perfect candidate for abridged.
If I heard about his dam car or dog one more time ..............
Many reviewers disagree ... thank god for differences.
The overall Mystery idea was great ... finally.
Reader was not good with female voices.
It is a good explanation of "the life" this girl has decided to live, and the people she deals with.
The rescue portion of the book was just too unreal and simple.
Waste of time and credit. Woods just threw this together, no suspense, no plot, stupid ending.
Why this is called a mystery must be because you constantly are wondering what the mystery is!
Felt like a few college kids trying out their new vocabulary with each other and what they learned last week in class.
By the end you truly don't care "who done it"!
Whinny bla, bla, bla. Just terrible. You just want, and will, put it down ... way down !
I was very glad I had seen a couple of the TV shows staring "Jesse Stone". It gave immediate faces etc. to many of the characters. The star of the TV show has a voice and inflections extremely close to Robert Forster.
A good story and fun listen.
A wonderful chase story with many twists and turns. Great characters, but the detail in the book goes on and on. The author explains many situations to a degree that I found frustrating. It is a great book, with surprise? ending.
If this is your first Peter Clines book, be prepared for the unexpected ... frequently. What a mind. This trip of fantasy is like no other. You will enjoy every minute. Ray Porter does a fantastic job. Have fun!
75% of this book was just the sisters giggling and laughing, and drinking wine.
There was no suspense or mystery to the book, just the author's willingness to describe, in great detail, the punishment they want to inflict on men's bodies. They also enjoyed reliving the past punishments. Trash talk at it's worst.
I believe you could pass this one over, and not miss a thing...
The action, unlike Baldacci, doesn't start until the mid 20's chapters. David seems to feel we really, really need to get into the head of a hit man. So he spends many chapters going over, and over the same things so we remember!
After that slugfest, the action begins. The readers are fantastic and truly make the book.
This is not one of Baldacci's best, but not bad.
I love Harlan, but this book felt like he just needed to fill as many pages as possible. I also love Scott Brick, but his sing song rhythm got to me with this book.
The mystery part of the book is fantastic and goes in many ways. Quite fun to be sure.
