Completely engaging, fast paced, and well researched, this book is a must read. I was amazed at how little I actually knew about the King assassination. I am usually leery of books read by the author, and doubly so this time because the authors last book, Blood and Thunder,droned on like Ben Stine on downers.
I am happy to say that the author does a great job reading it, and it kept me entertained throughout the entire read. If you feel that you should know a little more about the MLK assassination, you will not be disappointed.

Well researched and organized. This book takes you through the battle and the men who fought it almost minute by minute. Great Historical detail and the story moves along like a thriller. If you are budding civil war buff, this is a must read.

The Authors detailed knowledge of the subject matter and many small details that come to light. Indepth examination of the men and the decisions made as the battle unfolded. You feel part of the experience.

Nothing earth shattering here; when a people accept everything their leaders tell them, bad things happen. Only 46 minutes, but the argument is well made.

Very well written, Bowden takes a complicated subject and not only explains it simply, but manages to keep it highly entertaining as well.

The subject could have been dull, but Bowden keeps it moving along without loosing his audience, This despite LOTs of complicated concepts and processes to explain.

He is a very competent and engaging orator.
