Why we think it’s a great listen: The most celebrated performance in all of Audible’s history, The Help has nearly 2,000 5-star reviews from your fellow listeners. We hear the print book’s not bad, either. In pitch-perfect voices, Kathryn Stockett creates three extraordinary women whose determination to start a movement of their own forever changes a town, and the way women - mothers, daughters, caregivers, friends - view one another.

Fabulous new talented author. I wait in anticipation for her next novel. Next week would not be too soon! Terrific narrators I really believe this book was even better listened to than read due to the talent on this recording. Great story it really makes you stop and think about many issues we still too sadly still live with today in 2010.

Born a generation apart and with very different ideas about love and family, Mariam and Laila are two women brought jarringly together by war, by loss, and by fate. As they endure the ever escalating dangers around them, in their home as well as in the streets of Kabul, they come to form a bond that makes them both sisters and mother-daughter to each other, and that will ultimately alter the course not just of their own lives but of the next generation.

This author was able to transport me into situations in which I have had no remote experience nor probably ever will living in the middle of the US. It really made me look at Afghanistan in a whole new way and the citizens of this war torn region. He is a fabulous author. "Kite Runner" was slightly better but that still means this was an exceptional read.

Catherine has become a victim in her own home. First a string of nuisance calls, then a vicious attack by a mysterious intruder. Now, as she struggles to come to terms with her injuries, two very different men seem anxious to uncover the truth. There is Terry Devlin, entrepreneur and fixer, the local boy made good from Catherine's almost forgotten past. And Simon Jardine, her husband's business partner. But do either of them really want justice?

A twisted tale of murder in the world of big-stakes bass fishing tournaments. Filled with ex-wives, evangelists, and an armed pit-bull, this is a story that could only be concocted by Carl Hiaasen, Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist, New York Times best-selling author, and czar of Florida noir fiction.

But the police investigation leads to a more shocking disclosure: circumstantial evidence suggests that 18-year-old Katie Fisher, an unmarried Amish woman believed to be the newborn's mother, took the child's life.

With each and every new novel, Dean Koontz raises the stakes, and the pulse rate, higher than any other author. Now, in what may be his most suspenseful and heartfelt novel ever, he brings us the story of an ordinary man whose extraordinary commitment to his wife will take him on a harrowing journey of adventure, sacrifice, and redemption to the mystery of love itself, and to a showdown with the darkness that would destroy it forever.
