Rose has loved Quinn since she first set eyes on him at age fifteen. A tragedy causes him to spiral out of control and use saloon women and drinking to forget. She knows she can save him by tricking him into marrying her. Misfortune leaves Quinn grieving. He turns away from family, friends, and good, clean Christian living. Rose's trick works, but there would be consequences to pay because Quinn refuses to consummate the marriage.

This is a clean western historical romance which I enjoyed reading very much.
An easy read with great characters, and it will hold your attention.
Adding to that, Tom Jordan lends his scrumptious voice for the audio book.

    Story

Becoming a mail order bride appears to be the only solution to Prudence's increasingly
precarious present situation. She accepts an offer to become the wife of Austin, a man who is in danger of losing everything unless he marries. When Prudence is about to board the
train, an old man thrust a baby, along with a note in her arms and fled. Prudence has suddenly become responsible for her brother's baby. When she arrives at her destination, her intended is very unhappy about the child, but grudgingly accepts the situation. Adding to the enjoyment of the book, is the audible narration expertly done by C.J. McAllister. His mellow tones make each character quite distinct without exaggeration. I recommend this delightful book to all Western romance fans.

Another good addition to the Shadow Series. In this story, Violet Jefferies meets the perfect man at Summer Bible camp. Or is he? She Breaks her engagement to Miles and begins a relationship with Gavin, who seems to be the perfect match. Will Miles give up, or will he continue to love and protect her? Each character has been perfectly individualized by Scott Michael in this audible version of the book, and I recommend it for a very entertaining story.

If this is the final of the Shadow Series, i'll look forward to the next Goss series. She never misses. Bad guy? Good guy? I won't tell, but this book proves that no one is beyond redemption. This book was very entertaining, and if it's the last in the series, then it ended with a grand slam. All of this came together nicely by Audible reader Tristan Wright's super job on narration.

My favorite in the series, so far. I made the mistake of beginning this book last night after
finishing Book 4 in this series. As one might guess, I couldn't put it down until I finished
it about 2:30 a.m. Great job by Ms Goss and narrator Jeff Moon. Now I'm on to Book 6! I'm really enjoying this series.

Would you consider the audio edition of The Shotgun Proposal to be better than the print version?

I enjoyed the audio version very much

Have you listened to any of Becky Boyd’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

    no

    Any additional comments?

A story of overcoming a language barrier and cultural differences in an arranged marriage.
With these obstacles and even a murder plot, will love be able to keep the couple together? This is a love story not to miss, especially when being read by Becky Boyd. She does an excellent job with the accents. This is a story of love, intrigue and faith.

    very nice listening complementary voices.

I enjoyed this book. I generally like the stories to have a strictly Western setting, but his little jaunt to England worked very well. It was my first experience listening to a duo team audible, and it was nicely done. I enjoyed the story and production very much.
