"Narrator needs a pronunciation dictionary...."
This narrator was very distracting with his mispronunciation of words. It is not "modus operandee"; and it is a larynx; not a lairnyx; just to name a few.
"Nonfiction thriller, to say the least!"
I found myself waiting with baited breath for each chapter...Very well written and I would recommend it to everyone.
"Quick read and enjoyable too"
I have to admit I had not heard of Charles Cullen and this was a very enjoyable nonfiction book that I would recommend to true crime lovers!
"MAN UP!"
The narrator drove me nuts; couldn't listen any more to the lisps and oh, so, soft voice. Kept wanting to slap him and say, "Man Up!"
"Very Enjoyable listen for first time Coben"
This was the first novel I've listened to from Harlan Coben and I enjoyed it thoroughly! I will no doubt download many more. I especially loved the ending!
"Very enjoyable read!"
Lighthearted and enjoyable read and definitely has me interested in reading more of this author.
"I LOVE Department Q and can't wait for next one!"
I read the very first book and was totally hooked on Department Q and Detective Carl or is it Karl and especially his middle-eastern sidekick Assi (?) What a great story and great quips! Love the author! Keeps you guessing right up to the end!
"Overacting Narrator doesn't diminish from good sto"
No
If I would have known it was a zombie type book, I proably wouldn't have bought it, but all in all it was a good story for the younger crowd. Of course the 17 year old heroine was possessed of way too many attributes for any 17 year old I've ever seen, but if I were 17, I'd probably like to see this empowered young lady. Like I said, I'm not into these types of books, but I did enjoy this story and it would have been better if it was narrated by someone who wasn't continually screaming and out of breath.
"Loved this, especially pronunciations."
One of the top.
Kept you going
yes
It seems all foreign books I've read lately deal with incest and thankfully this one didn't and changed my mind into wanting more!
"Multi-Flawed Heroine unbelievable"
If the heroine would have had something to make her more lovable.
This heroine was an immoral alcoholic, pill-popping, beautiful woman who supposedly had men falling in love with her; yet in the first part -- didn't want to waste my time with the next two parts -- who somehow had men falling in love with her and yet rationalizing her binges? Not happening in my lifetime. Yet she expects her married lover to "do the right thing" when she finds out she's pregnant? I just couldn't find anything that would make anyone love this perpetually needy woman enough to leave his family for. Maybe I've got too many needy, drug users too close to me to figure I needed to waste my time listening to 18 hours of whining....
