don't get me wrong...I love Jesse Ventura and his books but all this conspiracy stuff is taking away his credibility. I would rather have his opinion of these documents and research behind them rather than listening to someone read these boring documents. Kind of a lazy effort and it shows.
this book could have been half an hour long if the author didn't talk about himself so much. This is like a son or daughter of a super famous celebrity writing a book on how easy it is to break into the film industry. Nothing in this book is easy or cheap to do as the author would have you believe.
The first five hours of this book talks about how to get an idea. Hundreds of books like this on the market already.
Licensing is an extremely expensive project. The author had previous connections and sounds like he came from money.
I can save you 8 hours of your life right now: get an idea and make it, file provisional patent, make phone calls to companies in hopes they like it.
I proudly INVENTED (the author hates this word) my own product and have been selling it for seven years. I've made the rounds with stuff like this. Nothing in this book I haven't heard in twenty other books.
I'm into the third part of this book and it is an endurance test. I've read and listen to other books on Apple and Steve Jobs that are far more interesting. This book just goes nowhere and stories are instantly forgetable.
Although I enjoyed this book and is one of the better critical thinking books out there (actually interesting and not too long headed) I wanted more out of it. There just wasn't enough practical methods of dealing with looney religious wackos.
It boils down to marketing, exposure, and keeping an audiences attention. It's about image and not what you say. This is where skeptics miss the mark every time. It's sad really when geek culture is so relevant nowadays but at least this book is a spark of hope.

One thing that skeptics just can't seem to grasp is how to keep someone's attention and get it to stick. It has a lot to do with poor marketing skills and this book GREATLY suffers from it. Although the information is very nice, it is so long winded and INCREDIBLY boring to listen to. Seriously I am barely into two hours and there are 25 hours to go!!!! This is an endurance test rather than words to live by.
This book has the right intentions with the WRONG execution. If skeptics/humanists/whatever want people to listen they are going to have to realize it should be entertaining and enjoyable instead of pompous and trite. This book does not offer that.
I love Jon Ronspon's work and this continues the trend. One of the best investigative journalists that keeps a story INTERESTING. He lost me a couple times but he tends to wander off in all his books but it's not a distraction. Great topic and very thought provoking insight.
I could listen to John Waters everyday and I wish he had a daily podcast. He reveals such amazing obscure films, books, and performers that often go without credit. There were quite a few times I laughed out loud listening to this and it's like he's talking to you instead of reading. Even the books he talked about which I'm not interested in reading kept me listening. Hopefully he'll release his previous books in audio format. He's got such a great passion for all things the general public calls "bad taste" or makes them aware of it with his own flair.
...and you won't find it here. This book lacks any sort of credibility. The author nit-picks studies for information he is looking for in order to support the title of this book. I found myself either bored or having a "you've got to be kidding me" moment while listening to this. This book will not enhance any sort of business skills or generate thought provoking innovation.
