An unlikely state of affairs. For Navy SEAL Lucky O'Donlon was the original love-'em-and-leave-'em guy. Used to women swooning at his feet. So how could it be that the frustratingly attractive journalist Sydney Jameson had nothing to offer him but one very cold shoulder? Well, two could play at this game. But first things first - he and Sydney had a job to do. They had to get their man. Then there would be time enough for him to get his woman.

I enjoyed this very much. The story was good, funny at the right times and suspenceful at other times. Elizabeth Livingston has a very good voice and does the voices so well I knew who was speaking without her having to say. The romance was perfect. The heroine wasn't fooled for one minute by the Navy "Ken's" god like good looks.

Lady Aline Marsden was brought up for one reason: to make an advantageous marriage to a member of her own class. Instead, she willingly gave her innocence to John McKenna, a servant on her father’s estate. Their passionate transgression was unforgivable - John was sent away, and Aline was left to live in the countryside - an exile from London society - and he took her love. Now McKenna has made his fortune, and he has returned - more boldly handsome and more mesmerizing than before.

I laughed and cried all the way through this book. I love Lisa Kleypas and Rosalyn Landor. This is a prequal to the Wallflowers books. I loved it so much I relistened to the walflower series.

On the surface, these seven women are as different as can be - but each has had her share of bad luck, from cheating husbands to sexist colleagues to a legal system that often doesn't do its job. Now, drawn together by tragedy, they're forging a bond that will help them right the wrongs committed against them and discover an inner strength they didn't know they had. The Sisterhood is learning that when bad things happen, you can roll over and play dead...or you can get up fighting...

I enjoyed the story. At first I thought the "old Lady" was going to be like a Mafia queen. Then she turned out to be cool. This was back in the early 2000's so everybody had lots of money. As the series goes on and the economy gets worse I'm sure the story line reflects that. Myra didn't sound like an 100 year old, she sounded like a wealthy southern lady. I hope this doesn't turn into an anti-man series. I hate those kind. I'll buy 2 more and if I like them I'll let you know.

Worse still, her seatmate never returned to the plane after the L.A. layover. Now he’s dead, in a garbage can, waiting for curbside pickup. His killer could be anyone. A smashing, award-winning debut novel that introduces Charley Davidson: part-time private investigator and full-time Grim Reaper. Charley sees dead people. That’s right, she sees dead people. And it’s her job to convince them to “go into the light”. But when these very dead people have died under less than ideal circumstances (i.e. murder), sometimes they want Charley to bring the bad guys to justice. Complicating matters are the intensely hot dreams she’s been having about an Entity who has been following her all her life...and it turns out he might not be dead after all.

Is there anything sweeter than a first love? Don't ask Claire Keyes. The 28-year-old piano prodigy has never had a regular boyfriend, much less a real romance. Her music career has left little room for friends or family - which is just part of the reason she hasn't seen the family bakery or her two sisters in years.

    Latoya says: "Surprise"
    "SWEET BOOK"

Anything Therese Plummer reads, I like. But this story was actually pretty "sweet". It had a good story line, and was interesting. I will be downloading the other two books in this series.
