I really liked this book. It was funny as all get out, and sexy and cute. The reader was very good at making the voices of each character distinctive.
I laughed and cried all the way through this book. I love Lisa Kleypas and Rosalyn Landor. This is a prequal to the Wallflowers books. I loved it so much I relistened to the walflower series.
I enjoyed the story. At first I thought the "old Lady" was going to be like a Mafia queen. Then she turned out to be cool. This was back in the early 2000's so everybody had lots of money. As the series goes on and the economy gets worse I'm sure the story line reflects that. Myra didn't sound like an 100 year old, she sounded like a wealthy southern lady. I hope this doesn't turn into an anti-man series. I hate those kind. I'll buy 2 more and if I like them I'll let you know.
Janet Evanovich's writing with Lorelei Kings narrration. What could be better? Maybe Hugh Jackman on the cover.
Charley Davidson is so cool. I just wish I could think of funny things to say that fast. Lorelei King is the best narrarator in the business.
I love Stephanie Plum. Janet Evanovich is always at the top of her game. And Lorelei King is so good, I want to be her when I grow up.
This was a great debut novel. Very funny and the narrerator was perfect (as usual or Lorelei King). I decided to listen to this novel because of the reviews and wasn't disapointed.
I enjoyed this very much. The story was good, funny at the right times and suspenceful at other times. Elizabeth Livingston has a very good voice and does the voices so well I knew who was speaking without her having to say. The romance was perfect. The heroine wasn't fooled for one minute by the Navy "Ken's" god like good looks.
Anything Therese Plummer reads, I like. But this story was actually pretty "sweet". It had a good story line, and was interesting. I will be downloading the other two books in this series.
I'm only about 1 hour into this story and I LOVE it. The story is engaging and the reader is wonderful.
This was fun, light and sexy. It was worth a credit.
