"Loved this book, keeps me going"
Great book about fairly ordinary people of various ages that have jobs, kids, lives, etc. but decide to pursue competing in an Ironman race. This is the best fitness bio I have read to date. It motivates me to keep working out since these people aren't so different than me. Really enjoyed it.
"Terrible"
It's 15 hours of a millionaire drug addict blaming every person he was ever close to for every bad thing that ever happened to him. And he's a huge rascist. I love Miles' music, but wished I'd have skipped this. I liked him a helluva lot better before listening to this.
"Very motivational"
Bought this book for a friend who had a car accident and became a quadriplegic in June. He wanted to hear people's stories who had overcome great obstacles. This book is such as story. I listened to it, and was so motivated I began working out and running. I'm still going strong several weeks later, and I've now picked through all of Audible's fitness bios. Even if you aren't interested in fitness, it's a great read.
"Part 1, enhanced format is corrupt!!"
I love the story so far, but the audio just stops 90 minutes into part 1. The file continues to play, but no audio!. Parts 2 and 3 seem fine. Been a member since 2004 and never had this before
"Very, very good story"
I really enjoyed this book. I love US history, and this is very real and very riveting. My only (minor) complaint is that the narrator sounds like a radio announcer the whole time, but that was vastly overshadowed by a great narrative of the Pacific front.
"confused motivation"
I enjoyed the read, and it was quite erotic. My only real issues were that the author never convinced me of the characters' motivations. This is especially true of Anne, the main character. Often their choices seemed manufactured by the author instead of true to the character. And the characters too-often confuse love and lust in major life-decisions. The book was fun and sexy, and the narrator was very, very good.
