I have been listening to this series from the start, if you looking for an action packed barrel of laughs that will entertain you, and keep you laughing long after you are done, this is it!

This book has it all! Werewolf's, vampires, gods, demons, witches, and a talking Irish wolfhound thrown in for extra comic relief. This book has enough pop culture references to keep the oldest and youngest entertained for months.

The story flows from beginning to end so quickly that you will be highly annoyed when its over.

At first I thought I was going to be annoyed, however King came out blazing with both guns so to speak! (no pun intended) He spoke of the ridiculousness of the left and the right. He spoke with undeniable truth, that people on both sides of the issue will deny as they normally do. However it is still truth!

People on both sides are already bashing him, but not me I commend him for his candor. I would recommend this to anyone on either side of the issue. A great listen with very good reasonable solutions. (and yes I too am a gun owner) (but king is right!) Facts are facts no matter how big of a temper tantrum someone throws! If you don't like what king has to say you are the exact person who needs to hear this!

My life has become just time passing between each new book in “The Iron druids Chronicles”. I try to pass the time by practicing lots of bacon puns, and a fair share of self deprecating humor. Unfortunately nothing seems to do the trick! Most other novels are just empty books, when compared to the banter between Atticus O’sulivan and his faithful dog Oberon.

When I finish this book my body will start to shake from the withdraw, and I will begin to sink into a deep depression until the next book. I am beginning to believe that this addiction could be unhealthy. So what ever you do, unless you want your life to be meaningless do not read this book! The good news is I am forming an “Iron Druids Chronicles support group”, for others out there that need support in this addiction. Mitch Albom will tap dance on your heart, and you’ll love it!

Mitch Albom does it again! I read his last book and liked it and I listened to this one and most of the way through I thought it was okay, Then it happens…. He reaches deep into your chest, rips out your heart, and savagely throws it on the floor and then gracefully tap dances on it. All the while you will be begging for more.

Young or old Mitch Albom will play your emotions like a master musician exquisitely plays there instruments. With another timeless lesson Mitch Albom hits a home run, with his simple life lessons for all young and old!

Let me start by saying I wasn't sure if I would like this book. It popped up under recommended books several times, but I ignored it. Finally looking for something new I got this book and am I ever glad I did! Detailed and believable characters. Pulls you in my friends wondered why I disappeared for a few days, well this book had me so involved I lost a few days. If you are on the fence about this book get it you will not be disappointed.

I hesitate to say this because it might give the wrong impression, but in a way this book is a much more mature harry potter. Not really for kids, but for adults, not because it is inappropriate, but because its complex and mature. The ideas of this book are beyond a simple comprehension.

Great debut novel! I already bought the next! Nick Podehl does an excellent job! He is fast becoming one of my favorite readers.

As always, what really blows me away in Card's books is his sarcastic and witty dialog. The rhythm of his words as his characters insult (with great affection) each other is always a highlight to me. That said, I enjoyed the book although I felt that a lot of it was a set-up for the later books. This is the second book from Card within the space of three months and just like Pathfinder.

The Lost Gate is the first book of a new YA fantasy series centered around a young boy trying to learn how to control and utilise his powerful gifts (which is also just like Ender's Game and Seventh Son). While characters may seem very familiar, they have been placed in a world full of wonder and originality, and I have high expectations for future books in this series.

In typical Card fashion there are two stories going on in two different worlds at the same time waiting to converge, sometimes that can make it confusing but in the end it is all worth it! be ready I know you'll enjoy it if you like to think as all of Cards books make you do, think a lot. Great listen!

This book promised so much, and delivered so little. What seemed like a potentially interesting dystopian world became little more than a roadtrip filled with teen romance and angst. I'm not sure when dystopian became the new romance novel? Not that I mind a little romance but that was where most of the writing was dedicated. Even that was somewhat disappointing because either they were the most clueless characters on the planet or the author just felt that was the only way to hold the audience in suspense. I just wish it was more story and less "semi clueless teen romance".

So in short this was not horrible, if you are looking for a well put together dystopian adventure this is not the book for you!

However if you were looking for a slightly tense teen dystopian romance you have come to the right place! Kick back and enjoy.

This book had a lot of potential but fell a little short.

First in a series that looks very promising, solid story. I loved this book and will read the entire series as it becomes available. My only disappointment was in some of the character building some of the characters were misunderstood as if we missed a bit of back story. However I still loved this one. Original because it is not a dystopian novel as most are right now, not that I mind that but its still a good change of pace! Take a listen, you wont be disappointed.

11/22/63", Stephen King's latest, might just be his greatest. Seriously. At least as far as "mainstream" fiction or "literature" goes. Yes, it is built around a well-used SF trope, time travel, but really, the portal to the past that Jake Epping is shown in the back of an aluminum diner is only the launch mechanism for this fantastic journey. There are no monsters here, at least none that aren't human and little or no horror in the supernatural sense that KIng's constant readers have come to know, love and expect. Even SK's other "straight" fiction, "Misery", "Dolores Claiborne" and "The Girl Who Loved Tom Gordon" come to mind, had elements of the supernatural and/or flat-out horror. Not this time.

But that doesn't mean that 11/22/63 is boring. Quite the contrary. Although it might seem that it would be tough to build suspense around a conclusion that seems to be inevitable, this turns out not to be the case.

Lee Harvey Oswald and the Kennedy assassination were obviously very well-researched, clear even before one gets to the afterword describing some of the sources and methods used, and the lead-up to the day of the assassination is described in great detail, along with Oswald's relationship to his family and associates, all a matter of historical record.

The world of 1958-1963 is described in wonderful detail, through the eyes of Jake as he gradually sheds his early 21st century armored shell and falls in love with a small Texas town and Sadie, its new young librarian. Their love story is a (actually the) centerpiece of the novel and is told with great depth, sensitivity and believability.

The ending is not predictable, read this one. You'll love it!

I enjoy reading Asian-inspired fantasy, I liked it even though I had problems with some of the characters seeming a bit underdeveloped. Very good book none the less.
