I seriously loved this book! From the Southern narrator, to the clever writing I was hooked. I blew through these 32 Candles only to be saddened that it was over. It is exactly what you expect it to be, and yet the unexpected is there too. Ernessa Carter rocked my world! Molly Ringwald would be proud, I'm sure. Great story of self actualization, even in the face of misfortune. I highly recommend this book.
I have listened to almost all of the SEP books and I can honestly say this one is in the top three. This was a great love story painted in a hollywood type setting. Georgie is a very likable character that I connected to instantly. I think I listened to this is 2 days because I just wanted to find out what happened next. Note that Julia Gibson reads this one instead of Anna Fields. There is also some weird music going on, but I think Julia does an excellent job overall and the novel is great.
I listened to this one while I was at work, and I was impressed at how much research SEP must have had to do to portray Jane the scientist. Another great book here with the awesome Anna Fields narrating. Funny at times, and as always SEP delivers a great love story.
I have listened to almost all of SEP's books so I thought this one was going to be the same as the rest. Boy was I wrong. I had a hard time getting into this one because it is set post civil war and starts out with a stable boy who is really a girl. Strange beginning. But once it gets moving this is one of the best love stories SEP has ever told.
I've listened to almost all of SEPs books but this one was one of my all time favorites. I highly recommend this one if you like a good love story with a lot of comic relief.
SEP and Anna Fields are an awesome combination. I thought this book was really great. I enjoyed the story of Dally and Francesca. It drug on a bit at times, to the point where I was like, GET TOGETHER ALREADY!! But as always, SEP does not disappoint.
I enjoyed Lady Emma as she tried to be "Bad" even though she was good to the bone. Very cute story and as always, a great love story from SEP.
I enjoyed this SEP book. Anna Fields as the narrator is always good. I really felt for the main character in this book and I was rooting for her all the way. Her little boy was a sweetheart too.
I love SEP but this book was a little too predictable. Just a simple little love story. If you like good love stories then this should do the trick.
This book kept me interested and I would have given it 5 stars if not for the horrible narrator. She was HORRIBLE at all of the accents to the point where it was distracting and almost racist. Anyway, the content of the book was good so if you can overlook the bad narration then it is worth it.
I like SEP, and though the circus theme was a little strange, she still managed to pull off a great love story. If you like SEP you will like this one too.
