They were the last great band of the '60s and the first great band of the '70s. They rose, somewhat unpromisingly, from the ashes of the Yardbirds to become one of the biggest-selling rock bands of all time - and eventually paid the price for it, with disaster, drug addiction, and death.

Would you recommend When Giants Walked the Earth to your friends? Why or why not?

I was one of the first Zeppelin fans when they first found a name for themselves back in the 60's I was really looking forward to the book but I really did not find it that exciting. It was okay and there were some interesting things in it but it wasn't one of those books that you just can't put down.

Set in the Parisian underworld and plotted like a detective story, Les Miserables follows Jean Valjean, originally an honest peasant, who has been imprisoned for 19 years for stealing a loaf of bread to feed his sister's starving family. A hardened criminal upon his release, he eventually reforms, becoming a successful industrialist and town mayor. Despite this, he is haunted by an impulsive former crime and is pursued relentlessly by the police inspector Javert.

What would have made Les Miserables better?

    Abridging would help a lot.

Would you be willing to try another one of Frederick Davidson’s performances?

    Maybe

    Any additional comments?

Honestly I just cannot stay awake long enough listening to this book to follow the story. I have had books that have done this to me in the past but never like this one. A Great Sleep Aid

The missing link to long-term Lean success! Despite the fact that companies worldwide have adopted Lean production, none has sustained the same levels of excellence as Toyota. Why? Leadership. In The Toyota Way to Lean Leadership, Jeffrey Liker and Gary L. Convis, a former executive V.P. and managing officer of Toyota, help executives and senior managers get employees to refocus their efforts - from simply performing their singular function to continuously improving in collaboration across the organization.

Is there anything you would change about this book?

I would not recommend this book and it would be hard to say what to change. It seems to be very repetitive.

If you’ve listened to books by Jeffrey Liker and Gary L. Convis before, how does this one compare?

I have not listened to these guys before.

Do you think The Toyota Way to Lean Leadership needs a follow-up book? Why or why not?

Not really, I think they ran short on new information after the first chapter and they just kept finding new ways to explain the same basic principles.

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

I am Male and this seems to be a Chick Fantasy book. It was okay but not on my list of favorites.

What was your reaction to the ending? (No spoilers please!)

The book does not end with the first book.

How could the performance have been better?

My wife listened to the book also and she chose to go buy the print version rather than listen to the second two books. The story was okay but I think the performance could have been much better.

If this book were a movie would you go see it?

I hope they figure out a way to make this into a movie.

Fiver could sense danger. Something terrible was going to happen to the warren; he felt sure of it. They had to leave immediately. So begins a long and perilous journey of survival for a small band of rabbits. As the rabbits skirt danger at every turn, we become acquainted with the band, its humorous characters, and its compelling culture, complete with its own folk history and mythos.

What did you love best about Watership Down?

This is just a fun story. You always know that were are dealing with Rabbits here and you can't even begin to believe this could happen but you root for them at every turn to succeed anyway.

What does Ralph Cosham bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

I think the narration really brings these bunnies to life much more so than if you just read the book.

Here is an explosive book that takes us, for the first time, deep inside a shadowy, fascinating, and surreal world of unscrupulous doctors, anything-goes team directors, and athletes so relentlessly driven to succeed that they would do anything—and take any risk, physical, mental, or moral—to gain the edge they needed to win. The Secret Race is a riveting, courageous act of witness from a man who is as determined to reveal the hard truth about his sport as he once was to win the Tour de France.

What did you like best about this story?

This story answered all of the questions about doping in bike races and how they get away with it.

    Any additional comments?

I have never been a bike person but have always respected the athleticism of those who are. This is an very interesting story about how they have to cheat to compete and how they get away with it. I loved listening to this book.

A true story as exhilarating as a great spy thriller, as turbulent as today's headlines from the Middle East, A Time to Betray reveals what no other previous CIA operative's memoir possibly could: the inner workings of the notorious Revolutionary Guards of Iran, as witnessed by an Iranian man inside their ranks who spied for the American government.

Would you listen to A Time to Betray again? Why?

I don't ever listen to the same book twice so I won't with this one either. It was a good listen all the way around with just enough suspense to keep you wanting to listen a little longer and a nice little refresher about some of the no so nice things going on in Iran During the Carted administration.
