Nestled on a lonely stretch along the Pacific coast, quaint roadside outpost Harmony Corner offers everything a weary traveler needs - a cozy diner, a handy service station, a cluster of motel rooms...and the Harmony family homestead presiding over it all. But when Odd Thomas and company stop to spend the night, they discover that there’s more to this secluded haven than meets the eye - and that between life and death, there is something more frightening than either.

If you could sum up Odd Interlude in three words, what would they be?

    Same 'ol Odd

Would you be willing to try another book from Dean Koontz? Why or why not?

Yes. I love the way Dean Koontz writes.

What does David Aaron Baker bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

He is the voice of Odd Thomas, it wouldn't be the same with another narrator.

    Any additional comments?

As I always enjoy Odd Thomas, this was not my favorite of the series.

What would have made The Third Victim better?

A different narrator! This one is awful. I'm only in chapter 3 and can't imagine getting through the book, it's that bad.

What could Lisa Gardner have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?

    Insisted on a better narrator.

    What didn’t you like about C. J. Critt’s performance?

Sounds like she's reading to small children. She wouldn't even be good at that, her inflections are all wrong. It's very distracting and unpleasant.

What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?

Didn't get far enough into the story.

    Any additional comments?

Audible should re-release books with bad narration!

Once presided over by a flamboyant Hollywood mogul during the Roaring ’20s, the magnificent West Coast property known as Roseland is now home to a reclusive billionaire financier and his faithful servants. And, for the moment, it’s also a port in the storm for Odd Thomas and his traveling companion, the inscrutably charming Annamaria. In the wake of Odd’s most recent clash with lethal adversaries, the opulent manor’s comforts should be welcome. But there’s far more to Roseland than meets even the extraordinary eye of Odd, who soon suspects it may be more hell than haven.

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

I listen while i'm doing other things, so, it wasnt wasted time.

    Any additional comments?

I always enjoy Dean Koontz, loved the other "Odd" books. This was not the best of them.
