Absolutely top notch - I love this book...all of it. And I go over chapter 5 every few days to make sure I didn't miss anything. If anyone needs knowledge on strengthening their immunity to viruses, bacteria, cancer - this is the book to get. I think following this book could be life changing.
I love the way the information comes across. I immediately get it and I'm in. For quite some time I have been trying the heavy protein and low carb and have gotten nowhere but within almost 2 weeks on The Engine 2 Diet and I have lost 8 pounds. The energy is coming back and now I am wanting to exercise which I haven't had to do for the 8 pounds so I foresee a large weight loss coming up. This is something I can stick to and enjoy.
Everything is here - incredibly beautiful author who has gone through a huge process of shifting from poor overweight victim and slave to the giant processed and fast food industry...to a fit champion, a superhero who turned off the glutton switch and turned on the 'life' switch. I love Tory Johnson - I also love the fact that she does her own narration because there are plenty of intonations needed in this and she delivers. This is spot on what one does to lose weight - sometimes the alternative is to try something give up and gain more. She loses weight and shows the everyday trials and tribulations.
Tory has demonstrated courage, perseverance and has shown her vulnerabilities and invulnerabilities. She flipped the switch. She's proud. She's even proud of her intimacy at home and I think that is fantastic. Its human. Anyway kudos to you Tory - you're a true winner and I learned some great things from you. I'm excited about this audiobook. I too am shifting. Thank you.
This could be such dry information but Amy LeBlanc makes it very interesting to listen to. Kudos to her.
Just love her - her voice is incredible and the stories completely take you away.
I'm going to have to buy the book because I think this author has put together some genius ideas. He gives an verbal introduction and then someone else takes over - sorry, but this voice sounds like a cyborg and I can't listen too long. So - I will get the book. Wish the author had done the whole narration. Would have gotten 5 stars.
Its tough to get through every chapter - really tough and you will see why. But, it is terrific. You get through every chapter and you win.
This is a playful back and forth dialogue with repetitive phrases so you don't forget. But it is also very entertaining. I have never heard this type of learning style and it is absolutely working for me. The guy must be British and the lady is Spanish and it just works. I now have this playing while resting and going to sleep and it plays in a loop....and yes, I am getting to know the phrases and pronunciations very well.
Every once in a while you come across someone who is a teacher...a teacher of life, of hard knocks and who has the natural ability to inspire. Danielle LaPorte is a natural. Her ideas hit deeply - and she delivers this with the perfect voice. Well done! Bravo!!!
This is one of those audio books that I go back to all the time....it really was well put together, well researched and certainly gives a good nudging as a friend would do to possibly give a healthier way of living a try. I am going the route of the Vegan or Veganist now....too many facts point to the great benefits of this way of eating. Anyway kudos Kathy Freston!
