Wow, what a disappointment. Seemed like he was trying to copy Michner's style and missed the mark terribly. After Pillars of the Earth and World without end, the expectations were so high. It was really boring and after about 5 hours I had to turn it off.
I thought I was buying a mystery novel. Instead, the book turns into a liberal diatribe for eliminating the death penalty. If I wanted that I could have bought a copy of the New York Times much cheaper. Grisham has crossed the line from author to crusader on this one. No more Grisham for me!
