I have read a number of books by Sandra Brown, and so I wouldn't dismiss her by this one failure.
Sandra Brown usually creates strong, principled female characters, like in Rainwater. This female lead was an idiot, self-serving, and ridiculous.
The premise of the book was far-fetched, and neither the female or male lead came across as real people.
A real disappointment!
The juxtaposition of Liz Taylor/Richard Burton in fabulous Rome with sad little Porto Vergona.
Pasquale for trying to bridge his family's traditions and his own yearnings
His Italian is gorgeous to listen to, and amazingly, his Richard Burton is also terrific.
Pasquale's wife. I would want to know more of her story.
