"A good listen"
The cast of characters and the history of how London was at that time, how crime was tackled in a time before forensics, fingerprinting was still very new. It all seemed just a little more gentlemanly.
Diamond Geezers. Although a modern true crime story Diamond Geezer is comparable for their characters and how a crime fixated people.
A good reader, spoke fluently and with no trouble with some of the foreign names.
I suppose the most extreme reaction was to how 'foreigners' were treated differently in crime than those born English.
Enjoyable
"A Stephen King saga"
No, not again.
I got into this as it was written by Stephen King, I found this hard to get into but will continue for the whole series for if anything, Stephen King will draw you in eventually, twist and turn you and spit you out with you knowing you have been through something. I have a high hope for the other books
"Useful but not the best"
I like subliminal Hypnosis and expected a lot more detail about sleeping issues but for a subliminal this does well.
I would like to listen to more but I would ask any writer to include reasons for problems people experience requiring the subliminal hypnosis as a means to fixing a problem. Knowing the subject and the problems helps in the resolution in my view
"A great true story of suffering and war"
Kokoda is legend in Australia, and no doubt many places in the world with legends and stories abound. Peter Fitzsimons does a wonderful job in his telling.
Consider this comparable to his Tobruk
"A masterful piece of storytelling"
As an Englishman born and Australian by choice I had heard of this story but never knew much about it. Peter Fitzsimmons does an excellent telling of a story that defines Australia,
Great Characters
Does the story great justice in the telling
Peter Fitzsimmons books are well worth being in many book libraries. He leads in telling stories with immense detail.
"Peter Fitzsimons at his best"
I am a lover of Peter Fitzsimons books and this is no exception. His level of detail is masterful
Tobruk is an equal to many of Peter's books, but a comparable effort to Kokoda
Enjoyable
"Excellent story"
I found this story enjoyable as it would make such a great spy movie.
memorable, hmm, interesting question for this story for me I suppose to consider that a death can make a difference and save thousands of lives is well proven.
enjoyable is all I can have
Neither laugh or cry, but made a tad feeling that war could be fun. I do not mean this disrespectfully for the operation saved lives however, this was the nature of the spying game. I do not consider for one moment the British Agents did as the effort involved and risk would have been to the detriment of lives.
A good companion piece to Agent Zig Zag
"Rather good fun I thought"
I found his voice easy to listen too.
This does remind me of the Little Nicky movie of some years ago, maybe this is the story where they got the movie idea from
"Lived up to my expectations"
This is a story you just have to love.
As the first single person narration I think Rob Inglis did a very good effort, thanks
"Enjoyable, long but interesting"
Took me longer to listen to than others but for the most part I would rate this as probably top 20
This is a good work by author and narrator. I did find this of interest and had some great fascinating moments. It is dry to listen too but worth the listen
"Simply, this should be in every library"
This is a life changer, not much more I can say. They work
