The story is told by an usual character....in a fairly believable way. This adds to the book's dimensions. Story is excellent. Very nicely done book and narration.
Interesting in that it makes the reader question what is and isn't real in an unusual way. The use of true historical characters keeps it a little more plausible and readable. I am afraid I am not a huge fan... usually not a sci-fi/supernatural book reader....
For such a long book--it did keep my interest. I often wondered why it could not have been edited better....to a shorter, quicker moving story. Interesting...and worth the read--but not my favorite.
Not sure what didn't work on this book--reader? plot? I love Jussi-Olsen series and the fine characters....but this one --well, it was disappointing. I hope next is better.
I am new to Odd Thomas and Koontz. This was a different experience for me as I rarely read sci-fi, supernatural, etc. But I enjoyed it and Odd Thomas enough to want more.
An excellent book. Well-read. Well written. Kept me involved from the first to last page.
I can't get enough Jussi Adler-Olsen. and his Department Q. I love the way the plot and characters are fully developed , horrible and funny at the same time...
I enjoyed this book. It was not as intense as my usual thrillers...but it kept my attention from beginning to end. A good book.
I read all the Nesbo Harry Hole books...including the one where we think he's dead. That was shocking. Hole is brought back in this book...and it is handled pretty well considering we all thought him dead. But I think once killed....characters should stay killed. I'm hoping Nesbo finds another character to develop...as I love his writing but am now off Harry.
This was well-written and moved along pretty slowly. I kept waiting for the characters to actually take charge of their lives and they really never did. As an addict to thrillers this was a different type of book for me--and really had trouble being 'patient' as the story evolved.
