"Great book"
The story drew me in and kept me interested start to finish. Great performance. The world needs a Nadia.
"Terrific"
The narrator was excellent--which makes the presentation a great listen. Good book. x x x
"Loved this"
I loved this book. I don't normally pick up books narrated by dogs--but this was different--very special. I kept looking at my dog wondering .....the end felt a little awkward. Other than that--I really enjoyed this book.
"Tension from start to finish"
Felt the tension from beginning to end. Wanted to yell STOP to the bad behavior resulting in worse behavior resulting in ......you have to read the book... Good.
"OOPS"
Ordered the abridged play version by mistake. Wanted the book. I had trouble paying attention to the play version.
"It went on and on"
I listened and listened and it drug on and on--weighed down in embellishments of the creature world the author had created. I finally gave up and stopped listening---something I have only done once before. Again, NY Times bestseller????
"Wonderful"
I can't imagine this piece of literature being presented in any finer way. The narrators, particularly the elder, gave such depth to the words, that I am very pleased to have heard this book not read this book. The story is beautifully written and topped off with these extraordinary readings!!!!! I absolutely loved this book from the first few words to the end. P.S. I want to run off with the circus at the end too--much better than pureed food and losing the essence of who I am. To the author and actors--Thank you.
"Disappointing."
On the NY Times bestseller list--found it very disappointing. Am not sure what the heart of it all was.
"EXCELLENT"
A riveting, informative, story of one man in the Pacific War of WWII. Historical information at a personal level.
