Atticus O’Sullivan, last of the Druids, doesn’t care much for witches. Still, he’s about to make nice with the local coven by signing a mutually beneficial nonaggression treaty when suddenly the witch population in modern-day Tempe, Arizona, quadruples overnight. And the new girls are not just bad, they’re badasses with a dark history on the German side of World War II. With a fallen angel feasting on local high school students, a horde of Bacchants blowing in from Vegas, and a dangerously sexy Celtic goddess of fire vying for his attention, Atticus is having trouble scheduling the witch hunt.

Only read this book if you want to be endlessly amused and entertained!!! I can't remember how many times I laughed out loud while reading this book. Once you meet Atticus O'sullivan (the main character, who you first meet in "hounded" the first book in the series) and his...um....friends. You'll be hooked!

A smashing, award-winning debut novel that introduces Charley Davidson: part-time private investigator and full-time Grim Reaper. Charley sees dead people. That’s right, she sees dead people. And it’s her job to convince them to “go into the light”. But when these very dead people have died under less than ideal circumstances (i.e. murder), sometimes they want Charley to bring the bad guys to justice. Complicating matters are the intensely hot dreams she’s been having about an Entity who has been following her all her life...and it turns out he might not be dead after all.

Meet Charlie Davidson, during the day she is a P.I. (who works with the police) but she is always a Grim Reaper. Unfortunately no one gave her the manual on how to be a grim reaper, so there are a couple things she doesn't know. For example, who the dark cloaked man is who scares her silly and appears out of no where when she's about to be killed only to dispatch the attacker and disappear again. She also doesn't know who the mysterious ghost is who keeps visiting her in her dreams and... (we'll you'll just have to read that part).

Charlie helps the souls who didn't "cross over" to complete their unfinished business (usually working with the police), so they can move on. This book is very witty and enjoyable read!! It is a very impressive debut novel by Darynda Jones. I'm looking forward to the next book in the series.

Atticus O’Sullivan, last of the Druids, lives peacefully in Arizona, running an occult bookshop and shape-shifting in his spare time to hunt with his Irish wolfhound. His neighbors and customers think that this handsome, tattooed Irish dude is about twenty-one years old - when in actuality, he’s twenty-one centuries old. Not to mention: He draws his power from the earth, possesses a sharp wit, and wields an even sharper magical sword known as Fragarach, the Answerer. Unfortunately, a very angry Celtic god wants that sword, and he’s hounded Atticus for centuries....

This is an excellent debut novel by the Author. This novel is original, witty and has extremely likable characters. Keep an eye out for Kevin Hearne (author of Hounded) he's an up and coming writer!!
