The minute I see a new book by Susan Elizabeth Phillips, I order it immediately. I don't even have to read the synopsis because I know I'm going to love it. This one is no exception. Maybe I was just starved for one of her books, but it may have been my favorite.
There is never a dull moment in a book by SEP! They are always impossible to put down. I've read every one and several I've read twice! As I finished this "irresistable" book, I realized I had a big smile on my face. The narrator was wonderful, too. She really understood the characters and made them seem so alive to the listener.
Please give us another book soon, Ms. Phillips!
Loved this book! Sandra Brown at her best! I look forward to her next book.
Literally could not stop listening to this fabulous and entertaining story. Once again, Susan Elizabeth Phillips has created characters who can make you laugh and then cry within minutes. Her romantic comedy is unmatched because the heroine is someone you love and understand. When she hurts, the reader hurts. One of the best things about Ms. Phillips' books is there is always a happy ending and you feel so good when the end comes, although, I always want more when it is over!
As a reader from the Charleston area of the SC low country, I was captivated by this wonderful story. I could visualize the "south of Broad" section of Charleston, which is the book's setting, the whole time I was listening. Karen White's characters and her descriptions of the homes, gardens, and knowledge of life in not only historical times, but present day are so accurate, that either she has spent a lot of time here, lives here, or she did a great deal of research of Charleston. Kudos.
