"Wonderful"
I was born in Australia and all the cultural references in the language came flooding back. I guess I may be a bit biased because of that but seriously the story was a gripping and thought provoking tale. Adventure at its best. I'm now hooked and am so happy that audible has the sequels available. I since read that this work won many awards as book for late teens. Don't let that put you off its not just a kids book! It's quite dark and serious in places.
"Very Depressing"
There were some aspects of the story that got me hooked early, but I then found many of the male characters far too similar in personallity. About half of text is devoted to the old sherrif droning on and on and on about how the country is going to hell. This was almost the first book I gave up on.
"Now I know why people love the King"
I had only read bag of bones and liked it enough to try another, I'm now hooked. This was a great listen, I did find the Vietnam parts a bit long winded and repetitive but the other stories were simply magic, the interconnections were great. My favorite King so far ( well thats based on two :).
