"Narrator's excessive vocal fry usage is annoying"
How did the narrator detract from the book?PLEASE use a different narrator for future audiobooks! Excessive usage of vocal fry when speaking is not only dangerous for the speaker, but also considered a speech disorder. It doesn't make any sense that an audio book would use someone with a speech disorder to narrate, especially since there is no indication that any of the characters in the book have the same challenge.
Any additional comments?I really like all the books in this series. They are very fun and light and easy to just mentally digest. I highly recommend the series as long as the listener can get over the Britney Spears-like vocal fry speech pattern. Otherwise, pick up the book instead so you don't miss out on a fun story!
